It was beautiful🌴🌴🌴😄 February 2021. What can I say, Hawaii simply just beautiful. I am pretty sure that the beaches are always very clean and the water is always pristine and clear. Especially during the pandemic, when there are less visitors to begin with. I am innocent, to say that I really don't know but the experience was remarkable. The water temperature in February was around 75 degrees. The weather outside was 80° day and night. For the two weeks that I stayed here, I just simply enjoy the weather. Yeah it rained off and on. But it will usually just go away pretty fast. No more than 30 minutes at one time. The people here are always happy smiling and who can blame them they are in Paradise after all. What are the most interesting things that I found in the North Shore of Oahu, is the fact that marine life is ever so present. If you like snorkeling, like I do, you will definitely enjoy this pristine water Paradise. The a few measures that I had to take before visiting this beautiful island of Oahu. You have to register with the travel safe Hawaii website. In and put all your information. Plus you have to take a covid exam within the trusted network of clinics. This exam can I be taking later than 72 hours. And it has to be uploaded into the website. I had to do this in order not to have to quarantine for the 10 days that are required within the Hawaiian government guidelines. I really appreciate the Hawaii does everything in their power to make sure that the residents and the visitors who do visit, stay as safe as possible during these tough times. Beautiful time, beautiful memories. Thank you

Beach is great. Parking is sparse. Most park on the road and hike down. Waves can vary from large and dangerous to weak swimmers, to mellow waves good for anyone. The worst part about this beach is Kevin. The lifeguard that is rude and ignorant. I wouldn't trust this person with my life. I am a well trained individual in any task I do, Search and Rescue, Public Safety Diving, Kiteboarding, Snowboarding, Cliff Diving, flying small aircraft, etc. Kevin knew nothing about Kiteboarding and felt the need to tell me that I am not aware enough. One guard understood Kiteboarding and gave good advice. Kevin did not listen to the experience or me. Nobody was hurt or inconvenienced. There wasn't quite enough wind to have fun on the water with a kite here with a west south-west wind flying a 9m, probably 10-12mph. This wind direction has been said to be rare for the area. If the winds get higher there, maybe it will lend to a great spot for kiting and less populated. Unfortunately, Kevin is there.

Located at the North Shore, Waimea Bay Beach is a public beach with lifeguards. There is a parking lot available to park and if you go early you will most likely get a spot. We went twice and found parking both times. There is a public restroom and a shower to rinse off. Okay, now on to the beach. Its beautiful during the winter time and there is plenty of space to set up a your day camp, but you should bring your own umbrellas and chairs if you want to. The surf is amazing and if are not a good swimmer DO NOT go further than the beach because the waves are big. We went on 15 Jan 21 and witnessed 25 to 35 foot waves and the life guards roped off the beach so as not to enter because it IS dangerous. Listen to the lifeguards...PERIOD. We left the next day and the waves got to 60 feet!!! We were sad we missed it, but we did hear that 89 surfers had to be rescued that day. Enjoy, but RESPECT the beach.

Love this beach during the summer. Beautiful view, long stretch of beach and a short drive away from places to eat. Fall and winter months can be sketchy as waves do get HUGE and will break right at the shore. If you're not a strong swimmer, heed the lifeguards' warnings. I've definitely witnessed a few rescues of people who should not have been out in the water. Parking does suck, so keep your eyes peeled for street parking just before the beach park entrance. Also, there is a church just past the beach park that you can park at for a small fee. I like to go in the morning, being a cooler and stay the entire day (especially if you luck out on parking) to make the most of it. There are showers and bathrooms (woohoo!). The midday sun makes the sand SUPER hot, so slippers (flip flops) are necessary to and from the parking lot. Trust me. I made the mistake of leaving them in my car once - never again.

Absolutely gorgeous beach! The water is crystal clear and such a beautiful turquoise color! Waves were gentle enough for all ages and so much fun, and if you walk down the beach to the end (go right when you hit the beach) there is fantastic snorkeling! We saw countless different types of fish and it was definitely one of the easiest snorkeling sights we've been to on the island. One important tip - make sure you arrive EARLY! Parking is limited and fills up super quickly. We arrived around 11am and the place was packed with numerous cars driving around looking for a spot. It took around 20ish minutes of circling the lot before we finally found someone leaving, so the earlier you arrive the better!
