Uppers Beach Park — Attraction in Oʻahu

I'm not sure i understand why there is parking here, or why they call it a park. There isn't really a good way to get to the water and if you do, you would most likely be dashed to pieces because of the strength of the waves against the beautiful rocks. Just a great view & to sit at while traffic is at its peak , wise to park here & have some calm meditation time to not get bothered with the traffic delay. Might as well be delayed looking at this view til traffic goes away...
