The facilities could use some updating and a general deep clean; I've only been here a handful of times over the past few years and the bathrooms have Always smelled right funky and I have always left them with my nose curled a bit. They've removed some of the nicer features from the park over the years, including the shower / foot rinse (it's a sandy beach, why?) and the grills. No grills I could understand with so many people coming into the area and some not being so responsible. But, the lack of shower / foot rinse is kind of puzzling and unfortunate.. The beach area itself is decent enough. Apparently as the season wanes so does the sand. The playgrounds are nicely enough and I did like the fact that there is a whole separate playground geared for the smaller kids, ages 2-7. As a Mom who never cared for her babies to have to play with the rougher bigger kids I would have Really appreciated this back in the day. The playgrounds are right next to the pavilions, which is Great if you have little ones. Not so great if you don't.. the pavilion is nice and big with several tables. The lake also has boating and water scooters for the adventure lovers. Not many benches. The facilities are barely maintained to say the least. Toilets were smelly and sand filled.
