Akiba HQ - Anime & Gundam Store — Attraction in Hayward

Going off of experience with this place. I’ve visited this warehouse quite a few times, note that, there is no store front since it is a warehouse. It’s a nice place to visit if you want to buy anime merchandise in person since they are nice enough to let you stop by and even make purchases. They have yearly sales in the end of the year where you can go there in person to buy merchandise at a discounted price.

I’m giving this place a bad review because they didn’t want to refund me a broken figure I bought before. The figure’s painting was scratched up before I had opened it.

Also, the prices are expensive! You can find better deals online! Tokyootakumode has legit good prices and authentic figures! Look at reviews! I like to buy charms and keychains... this store sells them for twice the price than I find from other vendors in ebay/aliexpress! I know that its different for everyone, but you should try to experiment before fully committing to one place in general. Get the best deals...

went here a while back purely because i saw the hakuoki poster in the bottom right corner of one of the images of the place just to be told it wasn't for sale 😭 i'm still pretty upset because it was displayed next to other stuff that was for sale with no indication that it wasnt being sold... i think they should take the not-for-sale stuff down or move it away (if they havent already, havent been here in a while) from the buyable things because i personally got really disappointed finding out the one thing i wanted wasnt for sale with no room for negotiation. besides that, the store was pretty big and had a good selection of more popular anime merchandise! i didn't buy anything my visit, but i'd like to take a look around again if i ever...

I'm not sure if I can even call it a store but more of a warehouse that is open to customers. It was a bit difficult to find where the entrance was because there was no clear sign out front. Regardless, upon entering there was a small lobby with lower value items in front and a section of the warehouse in the back that you can peruse for a crap ton of gunpla, model kits, and scale figures. The only downside is, nothing is sorted in the back so you have to do a bit of thrift shopping. Still, the guy working the back was super helpful in helping me find stuff. If I'm ever back in Hayward, definitely coming back since everything is reasonably priced and they carry figures and model kits that are hard to...
