Thank goodness the fudge is good, or I would have walked out. The service at the weighed candy station was absolutely horrid. We were standing and waiting for a long time (which I could understand because it was busy) and the man working looked at us and shook his head and went to help other people. Then after being yelled at multiple times to come over, he did but was absurdly rude. He finished wiping his nose with a tissue, failed to sanitize or wash or even wear gloves, and proceeded to measure out our candy. Covid or not, that is just disgusting. Then he grudgingly told us our total and when we realized we needed to pay cash, snatched the bag back out of my hands. My husband went to the atm right away and got the cash and he finished our purchase. Based on this alone, I don't know if it would be worth it to return. The young woman at the fudge counter was very kind, however and saved the experience. I wish I knew her name so I could thank her for saving an otherwise...
Read moreWe ordered some chocolates with nuts about a month ago. We aren’t huge on candy/chocolate so it takes us awhile to go through it. Husband was eating some of the chocolates 2 weeks ago and felt a very hard crunch as he was eating his chocolate and pulled out what he thought was his own broken tooth. Immediately made a dentist appointment for the next day and brought in the tooth. After a full exam including X-Rays, the dentist determined it was NOT my husbands tooth. They stated he has no cavities or any chipped teeth. But dentist also confirmed that what he brought in was in fact an actual tooth (a pre-molar to be exact). Not sure how this could have happened but we won’t be back. We wish we could say this was made up but it’s actually extremely disturbing and disgusting. Side note: the chocolate was good though. I guess order at your own risk..
none of them wear gloves or masks and apparently people’s teeth are falling out into the candy?? It’s...
Read moreWe come here every time we visit our cabin. Employees are usually possibly high school or college students and have always been very helpful and friendly. This time we were helped by an older employee that acted as though he would rather not be there. We asked if he had a specific candy and said that he did know if they had it. A very young employee that was filling the candy jars chimed in and let us know exactly where it was. The very young employee walked us over to the exact spot that they were. When asking for a pound of certain candy, the older employee didn't want to take the time to use the scale and said " how about a scoop of this one". Mind you, there are 4 scales in this area and not all of them are being used. He just didn't want to walk over to one. This is the first time that we have had any problems with an employee. The young gentleman was very helpful, thank you,but the older one was a little...
