I thought this would be some small moderately interesting museum, but no it's huge and awesome. Really interesting history, lots of mining and train equipment, photos, and all sorts of stuff from many decades ago. Four levels to it, bring quarters if you want to run a couple of the old model trains. My kids loved running the trains. Plus the museum is free, although there's a suggested donation and a gift shop where you enter and exit. Read moreThis was a fun place to visit along our journey. Small entry donations are requested upon entering. A lot of history about mining. A small running train model was our children's favorite thing. Get it running for a quarter. There were dinosaur footprints found while mining that are on display. Also lots of antiques on display from old homes. We enjoyed the old phone booth and the old type writer. The best part was all the things available for everyone to touch and feel.
