Pedestrian and bus crossing review here. Pedestrian side is fast going into Mexico with a $1 dollar toll, parking is $6 dollars nearby. Coming back into the US is MN50 or 0.25 USD; wait time at Customs can be from 10 minutes to 30 minutes average. Bus crossing is faster because it uses the Pedestrian Sentri Lane. Now, wait times for the bus from when it enters the vehicle line(in Mexico)to where it picks you up on the US side can be anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes.

We arrived mid-day. It was busy but friendly and easy. The traffic kept moving and the boarder patrol were friendly and kind. We brought our pug across with no issues. A simple health check record is recommended. They did not check ours. I am sure Raynosa has multiple vets who could provide this paperwork if you did not have it, but I wouldn't want to sit in line twice.

THE WORST BRIDGE EVER!!!!! HAD TO COME THROUGH HERE BY NECESSITY BUT I’M CERTAINLY NOT COMING BACK. PEOPLE CUTTING IN FRONT AFTER WE HAVE HOURS OS MAKING LINE. INSTEAD OD A SERVICE IT FEELS LIKE A PUNISHMENT. AND THEN THEY’RE BRAGGING OF TWELVE LANES AND THEY ONLY HAVE ONE OPEN I’M PRETTY SURE I CAN GO TO PROGRESO OR EVEN ALL THE WAY TO LOS INDIOS BRIDGE AND CROSS FASTER THAN HERE IN HIDALGO. THE OFFICERS CHECKING ARE DOING A GOOD JOB BUT THEY ARE FORGETTING THEY HAVE TO CHECK PAPERS AND VEHICLES NOT GIVE YOU THE WHOLE RULES AND LAWS OF IMMIGRATION. MY POINT IS IF THEY GOT THE PAPERWORK AND THE CAR IS CLEAN JUST LET IT GO. IF THEY HAVE SOME PAPERWORK MISSING OR THE VEHICLE IS SUSPICIOUS JUST SEND THEM TO REVISION AND GO WITH THE OTHER CAR. COME ON THE OFFICERS ARE THERE TO GIVE A SERVICE AND THEY ARE GETTING PAID TO DO THAT. THEY’RE NOT MAKING US A FAVOR AND IT’S NOT OUR FAULT IF THEY DON’T LIKE THEIR JOB. SO DON’T PUNISH US BECAUSE SOME OTHER PEOPLE WANT TO GO BY WITHOUT PAPERS. WE HAVE PAPERS AND WE PAY OUR TAXES SO MAKE THEM WORK FOR US AND NOT TO SOME OTHER PEOPLE THAT JUST WANT TO COME AND GET...

At this moment, in June 2025, things are relatively calm. I crossed on a Sunday and found very little traffic. Everything flower smoothly. No issues either going south into Mexico or north back into the USA.

I parked on the USA side and walked across. One dollar in coins to cross south. The sidewalk is covered. Once you get to customs, place any bags on the scanner belt. I coordinated with a friend who was waiting for me. I would not recommend hanging out in downtown Reynosa unnecessarily.

On the return walk back, use the raised pedestrian bridge over the vehicle customs area, pay the 30 cents US toll and walk back. Half way across the bridge, present your documents to the officials before proceeding to immigration and customs.

Once in the building, wait your turn, present your documents, smile for the camera (facial recognition), answer their questions, and obey instructions. Very easy. There is also a scanner for bags, and be ready for secondary bag inspections if you have a bag.

I found agents on both sides of the border to be...

I cross on a daily basis and I genuinely never have a half decent experience. Laziest government building in the RGV, and thats saying something. The place is FULL of egoistical and narcissistic border patrol agents who feel the need to satiate their desire to bully whoever passes through (citizens or not) after a childhood of getting picked on. They constantly stop lanes to chat with one another but ohhh dont take long gathering your own documents because “you’re holding up the line, I could give you a violation if I wanted”. Bunch of overgrown (literally, not a single on is in...
