Here’s what you need to know: excellent execution in Highwood of this super popular Chicago middle eastern kebaberie. Huge portions. Charming traditional styled decor and tableware, and delicious flavors where the quality is front and center. We order 3 entrees, 2 appetizers, tea, and 2 desserts for a party of 4 and it was enough food for 6. The presentation is lovely and inviting, and the portions generous (see pictures). The favorite for the whole table was the marinated ribeye, followed by the ground beef kebab and ground lamb kebabs. All the kebabs were so succulent and moist and juicy. The dill rice and saffron rice were both delicious. The full rice is served with Dana beans). The appetizers of the roasted eggplant paste and the hummus were absolutely delicious and had deep but not overly imposing flavor - very skillful preparation and gorgeous presentation to boot. The tea was perfectly brewed and had great botanical flavors. Very soothing. Both the pita and the thin Roti were absolutely delicious. We met the owner Vahid who is full of life and obsessed with the quality of his restaurant and food it shows. his team (shout out to Jesus) and him have done an excellent job of keeping wait times low, quality high despite running on a skeletal crew. Even the dessert of baklava and tiramisu hit the mark. Especially the baklava was brilliant and moist and had amazing black cardamom flavors (which is atypical since it’s mostly green cardamom that’s used). Our total was $100 for 4 persons and we had half the food left over.

This was my first experience with Noon O Kabab, and I had it delivered. First of all, the delivery was quick and everything was still really warm and packaged really, really well. My first impression was the size of the portions, they were huge! The food was tasty (I am no expert on Persian cuisine, but I will touch on it below), I had the dolmas, and the Ground beef/Shrimp Kabab combo. Second impression, was the flavor, as I eluded to above. As I mentioned, I am no expert on Persian cuisine, but it feels they are way too heavy-handed with the dill and too little use of salt. The only thing that had the right amount of salt were the dolmas, however, the dolmas were way too mushy. Again, heavy dill flavor, but the rice in the middle was way overcooked, that it has the consistency of Rice pudding. The Kabab were flavorful, but both were under seasoned, with not enough caramelization on the outside. With that being said, it is another quality restaurant in Highwood, and I will definitely give it another try. I just want to find out if the overwhelming dill flavors in everything, is endemic of the cuisine or the cooks went nuts on the dill that particular day.

We have been told about this place for a while now and have finally had the pleasure of trying it. It definitely has more of a fast food vibe with ordering and paying for the food at the counter and then sitting down to enjoy the meal. The portion sizes are MASSIVE. Something that should really be mentioned to guest who are new to the establishment is that one portion can easily feed 2-3 people and you can order extra proteins on the side. The falafel was amazing. My 11 year old typically doesn’t like falafel anywhere else but here he truly enjoyed it. We also ordered the hummus which was delicious and fresh. They do offer wraps but they are not printed on the menu, it’s something you have to ask at the counter when ordering. The dill rice is amazing to taste perfectly seasoned. We had two rib eye platters one with an extra serving of the ribeye and the other with their shrimp and the meat was very flavorful and melted in your mouth! The shrimp were large and very well seasoned as well. Also make sure to get a LARGE garlic sauce, you will want to put it on EVERYTHING. Everything was delicious and we’ll definitely be coming back for more soon!

The location was very well decorated and easy to find. The food was absolutely delicious served in the classic middle eastern style. The Khubz as soon as we arrived as well as the pickled veg was delicious. The order was placed quickly and food was served well within 10-12 minutes. We order the lamb shanks and the ribeye kebab both of which tasted fantastic. I’d love if the kebab were a little more seasoned maybe a slightly different cut to increase juiciness. The shank while fall apart perfect could have a little more heat and salt to really round out the sweetness from the veg in the sauce/broth. The spicy tomato sauce served alongside was delicious as well although would’ve definitely appreciated a little more of it. The salt was a little on the lower side but not really worth complaining about, the salt was right at the table and might just be a preference thing. While we had a little too much rice served we were happy with leftovers! Overall I loved the experience and would love to come back!

My friends and I dined at Noon O Kabab tonight, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. They live up to their name – Perfectly Persian. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely flawless, bursting with authentic flavors. My personal favorites are the eggplant dip and Chenjeh Kabab Plate. What truly set this visit apart was the outstanding service, especially from the manager, Vahid. He was incredibly friendly and engaging, and even took the time to have a friendly chat with us, which added a personal touch to our experience. To top it all off, he surprised me with a delicious tiramisu for my birthday, a gesture that was both kind and memorable. The staff at Noon O Kabab were all exceptionally friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. This restaurant is a gem, offering not only perfect Persian cuisine but also top-notch service. I can't recommend Noon O Kabab enough for anyone looking for an authentic and delightful dining experience.
