When I say this is my favorite place I’ve ever eaten in Utah, I mean it wholeheartedly. I make a point to visit small towns and try local eateries whenever I can, and in 38 years of doing so, this spot stands above the rest. The atmosphere was intimate, cozy, and welcoming — we felt right at home sitting at the “bar” overlooking the vineyard. The sights, the aromas, and the relaxed feel of the place were incredible, and we were lucky enough to have it nearly to ourselves. The wine was truly unforgettable. Our favorites were the Orange Muscat and the Cabernet Franc — both perfectly crafted, naturally distilled, and absolutely delightful. Each sip felt like something special. The food was just as impressive. We started with the charcuterie board featuring brie and grapes, which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious — the flavor combination reminded me of that iconic scene in Ratatouille, where everything comes alive in harmony. I also tried the lamb, and it was the best I’ve had since Ireland, where I first learned to love it. The flavors were bold, rich, and bursting in every bite. What really made the experience shine, though, were the owners — Shane and Kalie — and their son Indy, the chef. They were warm, kind, and genuinely passionate about what they’ve created here. They shared their story with us, happily answered our questions about the wines, and their love for the place was evident in every detail. This was the perfect ending to our weekend in Hildale. We left full, happy, and grateful — and we’ll absolutely return every time we come back.

What a fantastic experience! This little winery has it all. Family run, simple yummy menu- we split the beet salad and the Ruben (the fries… I’m sure we’re double dipped pomme frites. Great selection of their wines- organic and sulfate free. In all honesty- I’ve never been a fan of organic sulfate free wines because they lacked depth. We did the Barbero and I tasted the Tempranillo. Can’t wait to go back and taste more. To top it off, we got a great tour of the facility by the owner. If you are in the area, it’s a must stop. The Hilldale/Colorado City area is booming and absolutely beautiful. We are lucky to live close to this paradise. Thank you for making my birthday special and I love my ring!!

Amazing Experience!!! Was not in our 10 day whirlwind itinerary. At the last minute we decided, off the beaten path, is where you find your gems!!! And we followed our instinct, made a left turn, and went 59 miles further south than planned. Please, make the trip to this winery. No regrets. The best wines we have tasted !! All natural . And the shared knowledge of wine making, while doing our tasting, far surpassed many of our previous decades of tasting (we love wine 😊) . Go, Enjoy !!! Thank you for being a surprise highlight, of our already, most amazing trip!!

This winery and café is hands down one of the best experiences you can have. The moment you walk in, you’re treated like family—the kind of hospitality that makes you want to stay all day.

The wine is out of this world. You can tell it’s made with real passion and skill. Every glass is smooth, rich, and full of flavor. If you’re a wine lover, this place is a dream, and if you’re not, you will be by the time you leave. Do yourself a favor and take a few bottles home.

The food at the café is just as impressive. Every dish is made with care, and the flavors are incredible. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, you won’t be disappointed.

But what really makes this place special is the people—shoutout to Shane and Kalie for creating something truly amazing. You can feel the love they pour into this place, and it wouldn’t be the same without them. And of course, their kids Emma and Indy bring even more warmth and charm to the experience.

This is the kind of spot you’ll want to come back to over and over again....

What!? Does Water Canyon think they are in California and making award winning wines? We stopped into the Springdale Tasting room and did a tasting. The tasting included 3 wines-about 1-2 oz pour each. They started with their orange wine which was ok. The Tempranillo was very light but it was smooth and had good flavor. The Petite Sirah was super sweet and sour tasting-not what I was expecting at all, I had to dump it. We asked if they had other reds that were drier or more like their Tempranillo. Apparently they do, but the staff person said they cannot open any other bottles-too bad as the wine we had was not good. The decor and tasting room was cute. Just be prepared that we were charged $50 for that tasting of 3 wines which seems incredibly high and the wines were subpar especially if you...
