Hilman UT. is different so that's really not part of my overall rating/review so I'll be sticking to rooms, service, food, venue. The winery/resort is nice. Has a rustic charm and decor and is clean and well kept and the staff is friendly. Another note, I did not do any wine tasting but had a beer and a cocktail which were good. I stayed in a bungalow and it was ok. Plenty big for myself, didn't feel clean and was certainly worn. Bed was hard and no closet or other place to hang clothes. I was part of a larger group and dinner was just not impressive. There was an appetizer that I tasted, just didn't look appetizing to me, meh. Dinner came out 2 plates at a time with what seemed like 5 minutes in-between, I was really kinda shocked. My choices were limited because they were running out of things so I opted for a fish & chips and I'm sorry I did. 2 small squares of over fried fish and some fries which were actually good but I wasn't going to eat just FF for dinner. There did pass out some desserts and I tasted the creme', it was over cooked and lacked any real depth of flavor. The bread pudding was heavy, not to my liking. I would go back but not for the food and not in a...
Read moreWe loved our stay here! We were in #3 and it was beautifully decorated and clean. They have air conditioning which was so nice to come back to after a long day of hiking (we did Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon North rim). Loved the outdoor patio where you can drink wine and look up at the stars. The view of the mountain, located behind the resort, is just breathtaking and never got old. We're from LA, and we forgot what quiet sounds like, until we came here. It's incredibly peaceful. If you need any recs on where to go for food in the area, we highly recommend Edge of the World Brewery, Berry Knoll pizza, Essential Coffee and Bee's marketplace. All were amazing and everyone was incredibly friendly. We also stumbled upon a beautiful park, called Maxwell park. It was just stunning when we went in the evening time and watch the sun hitting the mountain. Can't wait to...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay! The studios are very new - impeccably clean - and very well designed. Bed really comfortable, AC excellent. Our studio had a little grill fire thing outside - I'm not sure what it's called but it was so nice because we were able to grill food on it (and we are not grillers but even we could figure it out it was really easy) and also it served as a little fire to stay warm. The grocery store nearby had all we needed. The Water Canyon hike that is nearby -- wow. I actually like it better than Zion National Park because it has very few people, but there is a little river flowing through it, it has the red rocks, the sand dunes, trees - it's really the total package when it comes to a hike. We actually tried to add on extra days to our reservation because we loved it so much but alas - they were already sold out!...
