If could give this store's manager a ZERO rating, I would. I spoke to her over the phone, at length, and told her what outdoor furniture I had that we were wanting an estimate to get the material replaced. I told her that we would haul it in, which we did. When we got there, the prices she then gave me were literally 3 times more than what she told me over the phone. I told her on the phone that we had had the PVC patio set for 20+ years. Never did she ask me to measure, nor did she ask where we had purchased it. I did ask her if I needed to send photos first, and she said "no", and then gave me a price for repairs. So we loaded up the furniture and when we spoke to her there (same lady as on the phone) she looked at the pieces we had brought and informed us that the chase was going to be about $106 for just the sling alone. However, on the PHONE she had told me that the chase sling would be around $36. She almost tripled the cost & added that our set had fatter PVC piping and also, we had not bought it THERE. So, why would it matter if it were purchased there or not? I told her on the phone how long we'd had it, and she never asked where I had bought it and I had no idea that would make a difference! Also, I OFFERED to send photos of our pieces BEFORE hauling them there and she stated that it wasn't necessary. So, we arrived with already a fairly good idea of how much the repairs were going to cost us but those numbers tripled on all pieces AND she also stated that it was because they would have to be "custom done." Well, I thought that since we were bringing in aged PVC furniture that it would be customized to begin with. So yes, we were a bit flustered but not towards her. My husband was aggravated and was then questioning me because of the difference in price and the statements about having to be customized and our pieces being different sizes than what they sold in store. But how was I supposed to know ANY of that??? And she sure didn't question me during the 20 plus minute phone call I had had with her on a previous day! So, yes, we did then have more questions, and she answered but gave "rough" estimates and while she spoke to us, she seemed to be more concerned about either looking at her watch at the time or reading messages coming across it. There was another couple in the store when we arrived, the only other people there and this manager was by far waaaaaay more concerned and dedicated to them than to helping us. In the approximately 30 minutes we were inside the store, we spoke to the manager maybe 5 minutes, at most. We were waiting on her in the back part of the store where the PVC furniture was because we were seriously considering just going ahead and purchasing a brand new set. BUT BECAUSE SHE IGNORED US, even after I walked to the front of the store where she was writing I think a contract or receipt up for the other customers, she turned around, saw me standing patiently and quietly, obvious that I was waiting on HER, and said absolutely NOTHING TO ME. There was no "I'll be with you in a few moments, ma'am, " NOTHING was said to me, and she made direct eye contact with me, but TOTALLY IGNORED ME. She chose to do this prior 25 minutes we'd been waiting to speak with her again. It was just being ignored at the end, it was ALL OF IT. Her leaving out crucial information that resulted in an estimate 3 times what I'd been originally told after we had put this furniture on a trailer and hauled it down to Holly Hill, and after she ignored me when she turned to see me and she said to her other customers that she was "looking for the price book", I saw the expression on the other customers face because it was THAT OBVIOUS THAT WE WERE IGNORED and even that other customer looked shocked. That was it for me, I turned and walked out the door knowing I'd never go back and where my husband had already left and was waiting in the car for me. FIVE STARS + Honestly -the level of Customer Service far exceeds ANY company you will deal with, in any category, not just in outdoor furnishings. The sales experience is wonderful - low key, no pressure but extremely knowledgeable and patient. No secret prices, no gimmicks. Simply fabulous furnishings at an excellent value. (SUNBRELLA is not extra $ like the other places - they believe in quality as a basic starting point). Even though I had bought from them years ago for my last house, I did what most of us do and I shopped around, online and in person, but I returned to Palm Casual because the quality is top-notch - but the prices are amazing too. All that is great, right? But the important part comes in AFTER the sale. I am a repeat customer and when they tell you about the warranty, BELIEVE them - it is real. Read moreAfter an initial miscommunication with our order, Mike showed up at 12:30 this afternoon with a beautiful new wicker patio set that was exactly what we wanted. The reason it was exactly what we wanted is because Mike took the time to physically look through all of the sets in the warehouse until he found the exact match we wanted. He took the time to set up all of the furniture where we wanted it and did it with no assistance from us because he takes pride in providing an excellent customer experience. Furthermore, after an initial miscommunication with the color and quality of the cushions, store manager Adam rectified it with this 2nd delivery at no charge for the upgrade.
