Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Holly Hill

Went thru DT. Was only car in the DT lane, and was asked to wait. After waiting the voice in the box said A couple more mins plz. @ that point we had already been in the Drive-Thru waiting for our order to be taken for about 3 minutes. We advised The voice of the box we were never asked to wait for 3 minutes we already waited hour Oreo cheesecake milkshake. After getting our order which was supposed to be a large milkshake relayed to the lady boys she advised us at two mediums would be only a couple cents more of course we decided to do that instead of share. Once we got to the window the total went from being $7 and some change to being $9.24 okay whatever fine. When we gave her our card there was 854 we proceeded to tell her there was not enough card for the full amount and would like to pay the remainder in cash. That's when we were told "we cannot split payments, you can only pay with one payment method. We asked to them to instead of giving the two medium to give us back in a large we originally had wanted and were informed that that cell could not be avoided and that we would need to go through the drive through again and place another order for the large milkshake we had wanted to begin with. Also there is no service at this place and the lady basically told us it was our fault that we weren't getting our food because we should have asked if they take two forms of payment to begin with. I don't know anywhere else that doesn't like you pay the rest of in cash if you don't have enough on your card but hey Sonic on calle grande is a whole different ball...

I've been to this sonic in the past and they didn't seem bad, recently though they really disappointed me. I'm not one to usually give low reviews but we'll start off with the drive thru wasn't moving and trust me we were patient we waited almost 30mins which should not be that long in a drive thru, so we moved into a parking spot and waited for service. We ordered very simple stuff, cherry limeade, a burger, hashbrowns and onion rings. The onion rings were so overcooked they were dark and so chewy and crunchy it made me not enjoy it. My mom complained the burger was very flat and said it tasted very brand compared to other fast foods, The cherry limeade was flat and literally had no flavor to it it was so watered down I didn't even think it limeade. Did they not change the pack in the soda machine? Was there any carbon in the machine? I got questions because wow I didn't think soda could get that bad. The hash browns were ok. I might try to give them a chance again in the future because maybe it was a rough night, maybe it was the type of employees work ethic who knows, but I was really disappointed the cherry limeade is usually a big go to for us. Also side note I'm salty at the fact that they don't roller skate to our cars anymore😭🤣 I loved that as a kid, I get it's probably a liability now and such...

Horrible experience. I was expecting a treat being Sonic is so far from me I don't get it often.It was a Monday evening around 7:30 maybe four other vehicles at stalls. I ordered a chicken tenders combo, I also on an impulse ordered a breakfast burrito recalling, how much I enjoyed them. I then ordered cinnabursts for us to share for dessert, my wife ordered chicken tenders as well. I was informed that there would be about a six minute wait on the chicken. About fifteen minutes later a man appears with the food. I get the burrito out and immediately realize that was a mistake. I start eating the chicken tenders and I am pleased that they are fresh and hot. I eat the two on the top and the two on the bottom are old not hot and fresh. You would expect fresh piping hot tater tots, with chicken they just cooked, but no barely warm sad tater tots. My wife had four fresh and hot chicken tenders. I decided to try the burrito well I guess I ordered the wrong one it didn't have tater tots on it as I remember. The sausage or whatever was on it was so salty it was inedible. It literally tasted like a steaming hot salt lick. The cinnabursts I believe they are called are amazing, they are like a toaster strudel cut in strips and over filled with cinnamon goo. The cream cheese icing that comes with them...
