At 8:00am on the day of my booking (my appt was at 10:00am), I received a text message informing me of an address and a picture of the kiosk of where I was supposed to meet. The address and company name (Xtreme _) on the kiosk did not match Hawaii Water Sports Center. Confused, I replied back saying this is not the company I booked with. Then I received a call explaining how the two companies work in partnership with one another and on weekends, bookings are sent to the Ala Moana location instead of Koko Marina. I then asked if this was stated on their website or in the pre booking web page before I paid online. The worker over the phone said no it isn't. -Unprofessional to inform a customer TWO HOURS BEFORE ARRIVAL of a different company and a different location. -I would not have booked this activity if I knew it was going to be out of Ala Moana and not Koko Marina like it stated on their website (Koko Marina is prettier IMO). -What if I did not have my phone / missed the text? I asked if I could speak to the owner about how unprofessional their procedure was. The worker told me she will let her manager know and they would get back to me when they can. *No one...
Read moreI gave a 1 star rating based on the communication or lack there of. I reserved a trip for scuba diving for the 9am time slot. As I arrived in the parking lot around 8:45am I received a call saying the scuba trip has been cancelled due to the swells. Although that is not their fault, I would think they could have checked the weather in advance and let the customer know prior to their arrival. Being my family and I were coming from the North Shore, it took an hour to get to the Water Sports Center only to be told the trip was cancelled. We rescheduled for the next day only to have the trip cancelled again but this time we didn't receive a call, we were told once we went up to the counter. Once again another hour wasted travel to the water sport center for scuba diving. While flying as a private pilot I always had to check the weather well in advance of a flight to determine the conditions for a go or no go flight. Surely Hawaii Water Sports have access to today's technology to check the weather well in advance of a planned trip. If they do however check the weather in advance, they should communicate this to the customers prior to them showing up for a...

We booked a jet ski rental for our last day in Hawaii. Hawaii water sports moved our reservation to another company, X-treme Parasail, without telling us.
Our appointment time was 2pm. We were told to check-in at 1:30pm. When we arrived to the very industrial and out of the way location to meet our “jet ski captain” there was no signage, nobody to greet us, and nobody else around. I called the company and was informed that I was at the right location and our captain was with other guests until 2pm. We’d just need to wait in this industrial park with no shade, no services, no restrooms, and no seating. After sitting in our car for 30 minutes we went back at 2pm (as we were told to do) and stood in the sun until 2:08pm. That’s when I got a call that informed us our captain wouldn’t be there until 3pm because 3 out of the 4 jet skis were not working. They offered us a refund instead which we accepted. However, the promised refund confirmation never arrived and the charge was never reversed on my credit card.
This was a phenomenally bad experience with a company that is unprofessional, unethical, and...
