This park is on the backside of Diamond Head you have to walk in. There's a cool concrete walkway that goes from one part to another in front of multimillion-dollar houses along the ocean. The people who live in the beach house right next to the entrance are mean and have planted a bush that has a red balls and the branches have giant spikes that are an inch or two long and the branches drop onto the beach and get under the stand I stepped on those twice while I was there. Also the beach is very short When the tide is up and there is no dry area to lay so be prepared to get wet. The water is nice and there's a Sandy entryway to get in there quite a few reefs there I imagine there are fish to be seen. I like this piece because it's a nice walk to get there. Read moreLove this beach.... BUT BE WARNED: The people who live right next to the beach have a small Jack Russell they often let run loose in the park. It behaves badly and it seems they do not care. I was walking down towards the beach when the dog ran up to be barking quite aggressively, then started jumping up on my trying to bite. I shoved the dog away from me and told it to go away but it followed me. The owners watched this happen and did nothing to control their dog. I've also seen in run up on dogs that are on leash and bark aggressively at them on several occasions while the owners do nothing. Its really...
Read moreThis place just has an amazing vibe. If you are like me and like waking up before sunrise to run, I highly suggest starting from this park and running toward Diamond Head Rd. Here, sneak into other little parks along the way and get a nice run early with waves breaking on the sea wall. Hands down a wonderful experience.
