I grew up around MacGregor Park. It's Texas famous, so it's a place you should definitely just stop by, especially now with the regentrification they're doing in the area. You might see a rapper doing a music video on the basketball court. Or locals might be hosting "Slab Sundays" at MacGregor Park--which is a Sunday afternoon on which BEAUTIFUL CARS with custom everything show up and show off. There's a free gym on the inside and running/biking trails on the outside that meander through the park. You can even stop in and catch a college baseball game at MacGregor Park. There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. I know there used to be a pool during the summer, but I'm not too sure whether it's still in operation or not. Great place to go to have a lil bit of fun and to see some things you've never seen before. Locals are super friendly and very talkative. Lol And they're both young and old, so yeah.... It's a good place. A fun place. And it has a...
Read moreI love going to this park during the weekdays (during the day). They have a tennis court, covered basketball court, pool (although the pool hasn't been open in forever) and frisbee golf area. It also has 3 Pokemon gyms, plenty of Pokemon stops and a ton of wild Pokemon to catch. They have barbecues and jungle gyms. During the weekends, it gets crowded and pop up car shows/racing/showing off makes it too rowdy to enjoy. They really need security or police patrolling to keep it from getting out of control and to direct traffic on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They also need to keep all the gates unlocked during the day. I don't recommend going to the park after dusk, the are quite a few individuals (some unsavory , too) sleeping in the park or walking...
Read moreThis Park was very clean and neat in appearance! Due to the Caronavirus it was blocked off but you can still tell that you was able to jog around the perimeter of the Park on the dirt trail. No paper was on the ground and the Park is a convenient way to commute to the lite rail train and or Metro bus. Both public transportation systems in the area. I have to say that there are a lot of trees flourishing in, around and through out the park which make it a very shady area if you need to stop and rest from being in the sun during the summer time! Also there is a Bayou just ahead of the Mac Gregor Park where you can get your exercise on or a brief walk, run or take your furry friend to explore the...
