Title: A Fashion Haven with Heart: Out of the Closet - A Five-Star Delight!

Review: I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Out of the Closet, a true gem nestled within the Westheimer Curve. This establishment is a haven for fantastic clothes and decor, and it unquestionably deserves a resounding five-star review.

As soon as you arrive, you'll be captivated by the vibrant and playful dripping paint mural that adorns the store. It not only adds a touch of artistic flair but also serves as a delightful backdrop for memorable photo opportunities. The attention to detail in creating an inviting and visually appealing atmosphere is truly commendable.

Beyond its fashionable offerings, Out of the Closet also provides a valuable service by offering free HIV testing. This thoughtful addition demonstrates their commitment to promoting health and well-being within the community. It's a testament to the store's dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all.

The staff at Out of the Closet are an absolute delight. Their infectious energy, friendliness, and willingness to assist create an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience. Whether you need assistance in finding the perfect outfit or seeking recommendations for home decor, the staff's expertise and helpfulness shine through.

With Halloween just around the corner, Out of the Closet proves to be a go-to destination for finding fabulous costumes for the festive parties in October. Their wide selection ensures that you'll discover the perfect ensemble to make a statement and stand out from the crowd. The store's commitment to catering to various occasions and celebrations makes it a reliable resource for all your fashion needs.

One of my personal highlights at Out of the Closet is their collection of coffee mugs and bags. The coffee mugs not only make for a practical purchase but also serve as charming keepsakes or conversation starters. Additionally, the diverse range of bags available ensures that you can find the perfect accessory for any occasion, adding a touch of style to your ensemble.

While shopping at Out of the Closet, you're in for a delightful surprise as you might even encounter a drag queen or two. Their presence adds an extra layer of excitement and entertainment to the shopping experience, making it all the more memorable and enjoyable.

In conclusion, Out of the Closet is a fashion haven with a heart, offering an incredible selection of clothes and decor in a welcoming and vibrant setting. From the eye-catching mural to the friendly staff and diverse merchandise, every aspect of this store contributes to a truly exceptional shopping experience. I highly recommend Out of the Closet to anyone seeking fashionable finds, unique accessories, and a...

I see bad reviews of donations. People these days need to understand that businesses are not a dumping zone. Good will will take them. Salvation army will take them but they end up donating the bad stuff to goodwill. Forgotten Angels in pearland will take anything ( a non profit organizatiom) make the drive. It's worth it. Autism kids. If you want a place to donate think. Big places like salvation army, goodwill, Forgotten Angels will take anything. Small places will not cause they need to resale and don't have room. Salvation army has begun to sanitize everything before resale after pandemic. I'm not here to complain but here to educate the public. I have never visited this place. I found this place cause I googled and will go here after my haircut. These are new times we are living. People are picky. Businesses are cutting hrs to employees to make ends meat. We as customers need to be patient and better understanding. I'm a business owner. I also sell on posh. Ebhernandez7 on poshmark.com. I bought some michael kors shoes used and can't sale because they are used. $10 4 1/2 women royal blue valued at $149. I have a pink MK purse $10 valued at $99 it has wear and little tear on it. Can't find a buyer. Picky picky....

TL;DR Not good for donating furniture anymore.

The store is great and I recently used them to donate furniture using their large item pick up service. I've done it multiple times in the last and the men have always been very nice even when they wouldn't accept things (like Ikea bed slats). But this time, it was two different people doing the pick up. I had a velvet accent chair in like new condition that had a light layer of dust on it. He said it "wasn't acceptable because of the dog hair on it".

I also had a like new vinyl record holder that would retail for $300 or more even used and he took one bare look at it from the truck and said "no not acceptable".

I don't know what Out of the Closet has changed, but it's really disappointing as I don't want to donate these things to companies like salvation army or good will and they have accepted things like this in the past. The man made no effort to explain why they were rejected other than "we don't want that" and "dog hair" (regarding the dust on the chair).

I also hadn't received a confirmation email that the pickup was even happening at all. I called customer service and they said the pickup people would call when they're on their way. Very different from previous...

I got a really cute purse and dress that was originally priced for $3 and $10 but ended up paying $8 for both!! Can’t beat prices like that! I will definitely be back! Edit: went back a couple of days later for some costume jewelry and a Christmas gift for $11! I love this store!! Update: I returned to Out of the Closet a few weeks ago and was shocked to find their clothing prices increased. I paid $15 for a dress and saw clothes with original price tags that were lower than the price Out of the Closet parked them as. This is very disappointing as I believe thrift stores are so important for people with limited income. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I enjoy thrifting and putting together outfits from different time periods. Had car smashed in and my bag stolen. The security cameras are only accessible from the store... in CALIFORNIA! They have yet to get the footage for our police report. There's a second camera owned by the building next door. That's been offline for YEARS. Yea no wonder why cars are constantly getting smashed in here. They know it's an easy spot to steal from. Attached is the proof of robbery. Oh yea and both cameras were pointing at the exact spot the cars were parked. 🤷‍♂️

Do not donate your items here! The personell will not help you to unload your donations. I drop off 10+ bags of clothing. I asked David S. For help unloading he replied with if you want to donate it You have to bring it inside yourself I can't touch your items... Its clear to say I am not pleased by their poor customer services. I drove 40 min to donate my items at this location bc I read their cause and where the money is going towards... But this terrible experience let me know that I should continue to donate at my local donation center.
