Don't let the nice playground images fool you because, unfortunately, it was destroyed by an arson attack. A new one was recently installed but is only half the size and more of an activity climbing frame, which isn't really suitable for our young children. The play area also doesn't appear to have been finished properly. The park has really gone downhill in the last few years, as they now appear to be using the lowest bidder to maintain the grounds. This has led to the spraying of grass killer around the posts, poles and trees, to avoid them having to use grass trimmers when they mow every week or two. The nice gravel footpath has become potholed and covered with weeds, and the air is almost always full of the smell of another kind of weed, which is probably why police drive thru there numerous times a day. The pickleball courts are usually empty, and I think the only people who really use the park for fun are disc golfers, kids that play basketball and local dog walkers. It's conveniently placed on Chambersburg Rd, while there isn't a traffic light, there is a center lane for turning. It's great if you have children and want to let them play on the playground.
