If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I canât say anything about the teachers or facilities, because I paid $605 for an STNA class I never even got to take. I saw the poor reviews online before I signed up. I chose to give this school a try anyway because the admissions people were very nice and made me feel comfortable. My mother and I were extremely strapped for cash, but we chose to pay for the class anyway so I could use my STNA to get a job over the summer. The Friday before my class was supposed to start, I received a call saying there was an emergency and all STNA classes had been indefinitely postponed. That put a bit of a wrench in my plans, but I understood things happen. I waited 2 weeks without hearing anything more. I contacted the person I was specifically told to contact with questions not once, but twice, with no response. After almost 4 weeks of no news, I called the school themselves and was told the person I had been contacting wasnât even with the school anymore, and the person who had replaced them was on vacation. I was then told their teacher had retired and they had no idea when they would have a replacement. My class was supposed to start May 28, and their best guess of when they would have the class up and running again was mid to late July. The icing on the cake was that if I wanted to get a refund and go to another school, it could take 30 to 45 days to process. I was obviously pretty mad at this point. Had I known this from the beginning, I couldâve withdrawn much sooner and gotten set up with a new school. It seems to me they were admitting students knowing they wouldnât have an instructor, and they got themselves in hot water. Luckily I was able to get my money back in a decent time frame, but I canât get back the time that I lost waiting to hear from them. Summer job plans have gone out the window. If you are looking for an STNA school, I HIGHLY recommend you...
Read moreWould not reccomend this school at all. There are select Instructors that are amazing and will forever hold a place in my heart. However, the constant making up of rules to attempt to make the students life miserable is awful. This school is suppose to be an institution for adult learning and you have to raise your hand to use the restroom, you have instructors timing how long you are in the restroom when you go, instructors handing out assigned seats to adults. Not to include when or if you complete this program you will have to forever wait for your completion letter to be sent to the BON. My last day was 12/17/18 and I am still waiting for the board to receive my letter. When you call the school its excuse after excuse. I was told that I had to sign paper work about my balance that I owed the school and as soon as I did, they would send my letter to the board. Went back to the school to do that 1/8/19 and and was told it would be sent that week. What do you know they are now saying that they didn't send it out until 1/15/19. Be cautious with the school you chose, yes Sinclair and other community colleges have long waiting lists however you will not be treated like a child or talked down to and you'll probably get the correct information majority of the time instead of being pacified. The fastest way is not always the best way if you want to stay sane....
Read moreI was not pleased with this school at all. Teachers constantly changed, and unqualified teachers were teaching classes (english teacher taught us psychology). There were mixed signals about dress codes and the dean of the school humiliated me in the main lobby over a minor dress code infraction while MANY other students were out of dress code. Our class began with 25 and only 3 original students from that class graduated. You are required to pass ATI proctored exams to continue in the course, but if you fail those exams they make you retake classes that are not associated with the exam you failed. Iâm thankful i was able to get through the program, but I felt like a major disservice was done to myself and my classmates. There were a select few incredible teachers that really cared about the students, but they were bogged down by the horrendous upper management. I hope with the new DON change that these things change, but this was...
