I recently explored Tower Trail and was blown away by its scenic beauty. The trail offers stunning views and he goes in a loop all around David Tower, unique rock formations, and an opportunity to connect with nature. The trail's moderate difficulty makes it accessible to hikers of various skill levels.

Highlights:

Breathtaking views from the top Unique rock formations and geological features Opportunities to spot wildlife and vegetation

Tips:

Wear comfortable hiking shoes Bring water and snacks Be mindful of trail conditions and weather

Recommended for: Nature lovers, hikers, photographers, and those seeking a moderate...

This asphalt trail surrounds the tower, offering excellent views of the tower and the surrounding landscape. There are benches located along the path if rest stops are desired. I saw many different animals on the loop; squirrels, chipmunks, birds, 2 deer, and a marmot that curiously watched me and the tower. I arrived at 7:15am and the parking lot was pretty empty, when I left at 9:20am the main lot was full but there's an overflow dirt lot that still had room. The only restroom I saw was a vault toilet, no running water. And the national parks pass is accepted here, show the attendant at the booth on...

Tower Trailhead has a decent sized parking lot with a visitor center and a restroom. I went during the COVID-19 pandemic and early in March so it was easy to park but I can imagine the parking filling up fast during normal times.

If you are a hiker and have limited time to do both, I would suggest only going up the Tower Trail far enough to get a nice clear view in the boulders area before heading back and taking the Red Beds trail around the tower. You still get great views of the tower but less people, more wild animals (e.g. deer), and...

Really amazing trail, I do recommend walking around devils tower! Markers give you facts about the landmark around the way. After walking the 1.2 mile tower trail I Had to use the bathroom. Walked in and I’m hit with the most foul smell, nose stinging. No running water meaning no sink. The toilet was a potta potty. The fact is it didn’t look like one. It looked like it would be a flushing toilet from the outside. Just a small PSA please bring your own water. They don’t supply any. You WILL get thirsty.
