I have received a plethora of automated emails from BBT Fitness, I did not opt-out of email communication. I will post a photo to support this statement once I scrub personal information.
Your staff did not review your standard training agreement with me. The free consultation was primarily verbal until I was presented with a laminated paper that had a tiered monthly structure with different prices. Upon selection, I was provided an iPad that had an agreement and I do not recall reading that I had to cancel 15 days before the 4 months ended to avoid additional charges. In my opinion, that offsets the purpose of offering 1 month, 4 month, 6 month programs, etc. One could simply opt for the lowest price and pay that monthly since a 15-day cancellation is required. It also creates room for customer dissatisfaction. I stated via email “It is odd how my signature is separated entirely from the contract itself.” I am not sure how that translates as “your response was that the signature was forged”
Class Times
My point was in reference to my experience. Before paying, I was told that there was a bootcamp class offered at 5am. After paying, I was informed the bootcamp class started at 6am and there was a different fitness class offered at 5am. Yes, I attended 7 times - primarily in the beginning of this year. Majority of your staff and clients did not wear masks. Also, I found myself feeling sick after a few visits and that contributed to my decision not to return. Since I agreed to pay, I allowed the payments to be withdrawn until what I misunderstood the end date to be.
Training Agreement
Again, I do not recall reading that all programs continue on a month-to-month rollover until cancellation. I have not experienced this “standard” elsewhere. Your manager called me to state that I did not allow enough time for a response not knowing a representative already attempted to resolve my issue via email, it was not resolved, then I escalated my complaint. It would be illogical for me to interact with an employee that fails at an attempt to resolve my billing inquiry, and not escalate while my card received failed payment attempts daily. The call served no purpose other than to reiterate what was already communicated via email.

This does not coincide with what you are stating.
Any potential and new customers, please read:
Be sure to retain a copy of any document signed with Body by T Fitness.
Be aware that you will have to request a cancellation 15 days prior to the end of whatever program you have selected. This means month-to-month as well. If not, your ex: 4 month bootcamp will be deemed a continuous membership until....you cancel 15 days prior to the end of your program date (save the date) OR submit a 30-day written cancellation. To reiterate, it will not matter that you signed up for only 1 month, 4 months or 6 months for a program. You will still have to cancel.
Once/If your 30-day written cancellation is provided:
"Once we have received your completed form, one of our managers will connect with you to review your account details and what all is needed to complete your cancellation request and stop your monthly billing. The current payment due and any other payment scheduled to process prior to your 30 days must be paid per your agreement."
Your cancellation must be reviewed, discussed, then essentially "agreed" upon before finalized.
Review the complaints on BBB, Google, and anywhere else before deciding to interact with this company as a consumer.
This business engages in shark-like bad business practices. I encourage anyone that feels slighted to contact the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and North Carolina...
Read moreThe first time I went to this gym, I think I had a promotion or something and the bootcamp class was amazing. However, I had lost my job and couldn't afford the pricy membership since I was on a budget. I later went back after I got a job and upon speaking with one of the owners, I should have known that this was not going to work. I remember he told me that a lot of the clients were like their sugar mama. He explained it in the sense of people paying monthly while they were not coming to the gym. I told him that this would not be me and I had a reason to be there. Initially, I came regularly because it was around September and daylight savings has not started yet. Once daylight savings start, it became harder because you can etiehr attend class at 6 am or 7 pm. Frankly, it's not about discipline, but more so about flexibility. Some of us have to be at work early and sometimes gets out late and the hours were not conducive. If I'm paying for a place to work out, I should be able to enjoy the services outside of these two hours. Their prices are in the 100's, which is ridiculous for a gym. Now, fast forward to a few months, I lost my grandfather and I had to let my family with the funeral, which had me traveling out of state. Then came the holidays where I had to visit family. I put my account on pause for a little bit because I realized that because of work and other life circumstances, I did not visit their facility for over 2 months, while still being a sugar mama and paying them. So I called them to pause my membership for a bit and based on the paperwork, I only get one month, then the next month, they would charge me 50% of my monthly bill. During the pause, I got laid off and reached to cancel my membership. I was told that I had to pay my regular month and 150 cancelation fee. I explained to the person that I've not been at the gym sine November, which I was charged for until January and I don't think it was fair to charge me again while my account was on pause. Anyway, long story short, I had to pay over 200 bucks to fully be done with then. This review is not to bash them because I believe that they have great potential and it's a nice facility. However, I believe that they set the classes in a way where it's difficult for people to attend while they keep making money of you, which shows some integrity concern to me. Additionally, I'm sure they will rebuttal with some BS excuses, but during the winter months, the average evening class that I attended had six or less people minus the instructor. So, they have people paying but unable to come because of their lack of flexibility within their hours. There are other gym that offers bootcamp classes where you font have to pay over 100 bucks monthly. They're still open because it works for some people, but all thing considered, this is my personal opinion...
Read moreI heard about BBT from a friend that I was following on Instagram. I started following the BBT instagram page and was really intrigued by all of the trainings provided and the results that I saw. I did some research on the brand and company and filled out an application for a consultation. During my consult, Tyler, the owner, went over all the various packages with me. He was very outgoing and very honest. I developed a professional relationship with him right away. After going home, I obviously had buyers remorse and was contemplating if I had made the right decision because of the price. However, after coming back in and discussing my goals with Tyler i reset my program and i am very happy to be starting with BBT. He is truely someone that will invest in your fitness journey. I came in the following day to do my one on one session and let me tell you, you definitely get your money’s worth. Their exercise routines are very high intensity and you will definitely feel accomplished after your workout. I would definitely recommend BBT to anyone who is serious about their fitness journey. I am glad that I made the decision to be apart...
