I walked into the Home Depot in Huntington Park looking for a door knob combo pack. I had just come from Harbor Freight, where I bought a pump sprayer. Since I was on my bike and had nowhere safe to leave it, I brought it into the store with me. After not finding what I needed, I headed toward the exit. That’s when a Home Depot employee stopped me and asked if I was going to pay for the item I was carrying. I told him, “Of course not.” He followed up with, “Why not?” — as if I was stealing. Only then did I explain that the item was from Harbor Freight, not their store. If employees are going to act like loss prevention, they should be trained to approach customers with professionalism and discretion — not accusations. They should also be trained to recognize what products Home Depot actually carries and what they don’t. A basic awareness of store inventory would’ve made it obvious that the sprayer I had wasn’t even sold there. Meanwhile, the actual security guard was outside helping someone load fertilizer, while store employees were busy jumping to conclusions. The assistant store manager, Axel R., came over and backed up the employee, saying he was “just asking a question.” That doesn’t change the fact that the interaction was handled poorly and without any respect or courtesy. I came in as a customer and left feeling disrespected. This experience was completely unacceptable.

ONE OF THE MOST HUMILLIATING EXPERIENCES SHOPPING HERE!! Ramon who works in hardware accused my dad of being a thief, did not provide good customer service at all and told my dad he had to pay for a lock BEFORE he could explain how the lock worked ! My DAD said he asked to speak to the MANAGER and RAMON claimed to be the SUPERVISOR AND MANAGER of the store!! He said he wouldn’t help my father until he paid for the lock and when my dad made his way to the front to pay for the lock, He PUSHED my dad claiming he was trying to STEAL and blocked him in…We have been customers at this HOME DEPOT for more than 15 yrs and this is how HOME DEPOT treats its customer!! GETTING Physical with its CUSTOMERS!!! My dad has never felt so humiliated in his life!! To think an employee would get physical with a customer. Itza who was the cashier who helped process the payment for the lock was no help. When my dad asked her for the number to file a complaint she gave him the wrong number twice and proceeded to feign ignorance when he asked for help! HOME DEPOT has always hired great people on their team but this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of an ANY HARDWARE STORE in this area!!!

I have visited several Home Depot, but here in Home Depot of Huntington Park what I see is a total lack of awareness for we the clients, since in all the Home Depot that I have visited, they have enough tents for the clients to cover themselves from the sun in the waiting time for enter the store, in some Home Depot even they have sprinklers for withstand the heat that is outside the store, but in the Home Depot of Huntington Park customers are exposed to the sun all the time, I think that the store doesn't do enough for their customers I don't come back the Huntington Park store again I see is how they treat people from one neighborhood to another, what kind of people run this business, all I see here is discrimination and abuse of the goodwill of people and that is not worth it

I love Home Depot and I have been in various locations spread across several states. This has to be the worst location in the country. Unfortunately, I get sent to this location often to pick up supplies for my job. I would avoid if at all possible. They are almost always busy and there is never a cart available. In order to snag one you'll have to creepily follow someone out to their car and ask them for theirs. If extremely busy, you'll have to wonder around the store, find someone with a cart, ask them, then awkwardly following them around while they shop. This process can take from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. A 30 minute trip at any other location will take AT LEAST twice as long especially if you are looking for anything loose. Plumbing parts, brackets, and small, loose parts are unorganized. I can't blame the employees for that. It's like the customers at this location have a hard time putting things back after they check them out and decide they don't want that item 5 seconds after picking it up from it's original location. If you have any questions, refer to either the home Depot app or Google and just hope you don't need an actual employee to make keys, cut wood or whatever. It's rare to get an employee to answer anything and even rarer they offer help. First, you'll have to chase them down, then if your lucky they will give accurate information. Be prepared to be passed off to other employees or hear, "Oh that's not my department," and not be directed to someone who is. There are a couple of gems there, they are just rare. I will try to get names and update this review with them. Recently, I left a bag of merchandise behind and went to pick up after work. I described exactly what was in the bag, 4, 4way 1/2" PVC pipe connectors. The cashier found them then had to call her manager to make sure she could give them to me since I didn't have the receipt that I had already turned into my office manager. I feel like the person who describes in detail something they can't see, probably bought said items and let's pretend I was psychic, they are super cheap parts. It's a loss of less than 5 bucks. I bet the employees steal more than that on a weekly basis at this location. Anyway, it took the girl like 20 minutes to get a hold of the manager who I assumed told her, duh, give them the bag. I know the inventory systems aren't perfect at any store but if I saw there was over 100 of something I would assume there was at least 1 in stock. Not here. I needed something and before going checked the app and it said over 300 in stock. Get to the store and cannot find a single one and no store associate was willing to not run away when I made eye contact so left with nothing. I cannot stress enough, I LOVE HOME DEPOT but this location SUCKS and I wouldn't ever go if it wasn't the local...

I had worst "shopping while black" experience ever here...i came in as a normal customer trying to purchase a door and after being told by 2 employees two different things(one from which they claimed wasn't from the department i even needed help in)on how to conduct my order for delivery I was finally sent in the right direction all the way on the other side of the store. Making it there with the instructions i was given by the 1st male employee i spoke with for this female employee to tell me he basicly told me the wrong information and i had to walk all the way back across the store. Now I'm a bit frustrated but i did so "Mind you I'm putting in a order fore delivery in which all the information to the door i needed was in the computer in which was in front of the employee i was sent to" anyhow i go back take a picture of what i wanted to purchase and came back to the line. Upon returning another employee now is on the register by the Name of Daniela aka Danny whom already had some sort of knowledge of my apperance somehow since she was nowhere near when i came in the store but I'm assuming conversed with her co-worker/friend of my presence and plotted to make a mockery of my now prolonged purchase of a door that was for delivery anyhow she approached with a very nasty sacrcastuc attitude which i was baffled by cause i started her off woth small talk as i do every other person i greet then it went to just blant disrespect to where's the manger(Manuel)was called to be involved. Upon looking around i realized i was the only person of color surrounded by predominately Hispanics in which was the race of every employee there. I felt so violated, disrespected, and discriminated upon as well as morally embarrassed. After explaining all to the mang and him seeing the context of the situation he was very help and respectful as well as gotten my what should have only been a 15min process of ordering a door for delivery shipment but took 1 hour in a 1/2 to be done and helped me with a discount for my time a troubles. But that still doesn't excuse the actions of Home Depot employee Danny which was under his which if you don't like your job don't do it and if your nkt going to treat all people equal PLEASE Don't work in customer service! This is not the 1st act of racism I've experienced in the...

Home Depot is a great place to get things done and get the things you need. I like choosing the colors that they have for paint and it's exciting when you're trying to choose between all of them because of all the nice availabilities they have there! I, however think that there needs to be some improvement on customer service, and it's not the long lines they have sometimes, it has to do with the people they have hired! There are many young people that do not have the answers for many things or sugarcoat things to try to have the answers when they don't know anything or don't know what they are talking about, and when you go and complain to a manager, nobody can do anything or it seems like they don't have the answers themselves or they try to fight you against whatever it is, when you know what you are talking about with your complaint! I hope I make some sense here. I recall the time when I went to Home Depot located in Downey California, and I couldn't believe it! We forgot our percentage coupon and we were using our card to pay these items, which indicates that they could have possibly located where our coupon was in the system, I hope because if not then maybe there's a need of some improvement with systems and updates. The young lady who helped us had a serious face with a long mouth and nose and droopy eyes and didn't seem very inviting 😕. Come on guys! Can't we just smile a little bit? It isn't my fault whatever your problem is, but I do sympathize with you. I won't complain about Home Depot, just the customer service! Now I know why Mr Yorke from Fantasy Island used to say, "Smiles everyone! Smile!" Heck! And we're not even on an island! I think we all like to give our business too inviting warm happy smiles and...
