Pros: it's awesome that you can choose either paper tickets or e tickets. This makes the arcade experience more fun. Ticket prices in the prize area are decent, but you would need 3000+ tickets to get anything good.
Cons: games are insanely overpriced and have been getting more expensive each time I go. Most games used to be 8, now 90% of them cost 10+ credits. They also removed a lot of their good games. (including new games that they got 1-2 years ago!) They also have 3-5 games that are "e tickets only" which defeats the purpose of the paper ticket option. This only makes sense if the game doesn't have a dispenser for paper tickets, however some games that had this had dispensers. Hopefully it improves soon since it used to be a decent arcade. What's sad is that most of the removed games were removed in the last 3-5 years without much replacing them.
List of removed games: Pac Man 6 player coin pusher, Jack's Hi 4 Sided Coin Pusher, Prize Cube, Quick Drop #1 (they had 2 machines) Fishbowl Frenzy, Flappy Bird (Prize Redemption) Wheel Of Fortune Light Stopping Game, Deal Or No Deal Deluxe, Arcade Crossy Road, The Big One X-treme, Rick n Morty Blips 'n' Chitz, Emoji Roller, Slam A Winner (mini version), Ice Man, Crank it Revolution, Harpoon Lagoon, StepManiax, Air Hockey, Ticket Time, All of their "Pirate's Treasure" Claw Machines, Bling King, Carré 4 Player Claw Machine, Grand Piano Keys, Pirate's Hook, Spinner Frenzy, Nerf Arcade, Prize Cube (Winner Every Time Version), Jumbo Toy Soldier, Monster Drop Chaos, Elaut Mega Crane, Prize Locker, The Big One (The Normal One That Had Giant Rainbow Ticket Balls), Kalahari Resort's Claw Machine (Reskin Of Ice's Grab 'n' Go Machine), Giant Fun Zone (The one that had a giant gold colored claw).
You get the point, They remove all of the good machines and keep the scam ones that screw people over. We won't be back here...
Read moreVisited last night for date night with my partner and we were both completely disappointed. It’s very overpriced, crowded, and there aren’t enough employees to help with things. I had to go sit down while my partner stood in the prize area forever to check out. There was only one woman working and I had to go sit down because we were standing there too long. I’m also disappointed they don’t have a shuttle from the parking lot to the front door. This is so harsh on people with disabilities and physical struggles.
This environment could be so much better. Why is it so HOT down there?! The entire time we were there it felt like it was 80+ degrees. With the amount of people in there, you would think it would be better air conditioned. I was sweating so bad down my back that my shirt was drenched. I’d rather spend money elsewhere that I’d feel more comfortable. We probably would have spent more money if it had been bearable in there. I would be surprised if there wasn’t mold and other stuff thriving from the moisture and heat in this arcade.
If you’re heat intolerant and are sensitive to heat and humidity, skip this one. Go elsewhere that’s better air conditioned. You will have a...
Read moreBeen coming to Kalahari for years, also multiple times a year. This is the first time ever my husband & family were questioned if we knew an employee? This was due to the amount of tickets our family had won in 4 days (family of 5). We spend A LOT of money in the game room every trip. Often times spending more than our resort stay! It is appalling to have a Supervisor question a guest insinuating that we were given tickets/prizes from one of their employees (stealing!). Your supervisors can clearly see the amount of money being spent on the game cards, on top of reviewing cameras if there are that many issues with stealing in your establishment! We are not ones to complain but this was a horrible experience! (Would have given less than 3 stars if I could just rate this one time incident. For years we have greatly enjoyed the game room with our children. I hope discussions will be had with your supervisors in regards to the treatment & false...
