TLDR: The bar is pretty, and the employees are kind, The food is very expensive, and even for bar food, the Milkshake had a piece of raw bacon at the very bottom. Manger made a horrible excuse, began berating with questions, tried to blame my friend for stopping her from helping take care of the drink, and then left without an apology. Drink was taken care of but was treated like absolute trash
vvvvvv(Long fun version) vvvvvvv Go to B-Lux if you want to lose some money and find raw meat products in their diary milkshakes. That's not even talking about their service. My friends and I had just walked around Kalahari. We got ourselves a reservation, to which I will note MOST of the employees are very kind, we'll get back to that.
We sat down and took a look at the menu, and it's straight-up extortion, we know bar food is expensive, but this is ridiculous. One Angry Orchard was $7, the burger $23 (with impossible patty). We bit the bullet and had our order taken.
It was packed because of the Convention being held, so we expected higher than normal wait times for our food. The food arrived, and if I'm being very honest. It wasn't anything special; It was your generic burger with nothing really going for it. It's not worth the price.
My friend, tho had only ONE GOAL, to enjoy their over the top Milksakes. He ordered himself a Strawberry Cheesecake Shake, which on arrival looked pretty damn good. It was when he went to go finish it that he got his very unwelcome surprise.
As he finished his shake, something that felt like rubber went up the straw. He found it tasting off, decided to spit it out, and to everyone's horror, it was a chunk of RAW BACON at the bottom. Now, on top of the fact that the straw was very large, who knows what else might have been in there.
We immediately called over a waitress who apologized and said she would bring the manager. We didn't want to start anything and simply relay the situation, MAN WAS THAT A MISTAKE!
The manager walked over, and my friend explained the situation. She treated the entire thing as if we were inconveniencing her, and instead of apologizing, she began condescendingly berating him with questions like, "Are you allergic?" Or " what do you want me to do?". She tried to excuse a major health hazard by saying, "that the meat and the dishes were stored in the same place, which lead to this." WHICH SOUNDS LIKE IT'S OWN ISSUE????
After trying to under play the issue, she asks what he would like done. We simply asked for the drink to be covered. To which she replies, " I would have had this covered honey, had you not I would of had this all taken care of l.", in a condescending tone.
We were baffled by what we heard and saw. After trying (and failing) to spin the issue to sound like it was my friends fault for bothering her and bringing this to her attention, She left.
With no apology, bad energy, and an absolutely hot steaming garbage taste in our mouths, we found ourselves regretting coming here. The vibes had officially died. Eventually, the recipes came back to burn a hole in our wallets. We were glad that the milkshake was taken care of. Luckily, something was done, and we weren't left out hanging.
We found ourselves in a predicament with tiping as it wasn't the Waitresses' fault but the mangers, so we still tipped even if it felt odd with how terrible the treatment for the problem was.
There are many issues that seem to be hidden, and it might be worth asking the waitress for the chefs to double clean your drinking glasses just in cases you start swallowing RAW MEAT!
Overall, the place itself is well presentable and they do a good job showing class. Now, if they spend a bit more time checking the Glass and cutting on the sass, the B-Lux would have...
Read moreWhile up at Kalahari we decided to try B-Lux. The food was amazing, the milk shakes were the best Iâve ever had. However I give this place a 3 star out of 5 for these reasons.
When We walked in and were told it would be roughly 30 minutes for us to get a seat. We observed numerous tables and booths available but we figured they still had covid protocols in place. (No biggie) so we decided to order a drink and wait. The drink was good, a little on the strong side but just the way I like it but super pricy. For a Titoâs and sprite and a margarita it was over $30.
Thirty minutes later We finally got seated (at a table that was open since we first walked in). The waitress came fast and took our orders. She got us another drink while we waited for our food. 45 minutes rolls around and we start asking her where our food is. She tells us our appetizers are finally coming out. We asked how much longer on the food and she said it was right behind it. Another 15 minutes rolls by (an hour since we ordered) and we ask her where the food is. She apologized and said it should be right out. The food finally came out an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered.
The burger was massive. It had lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, onion rings, bacon and a Buffalo wing on top. I asked for the burger to be medium rare but it came out done. (No big deal still good but wrong). The cheese curds were amazing, the ranch good as well. The fries were a little cold and not my favorite. The milkshake was the best part of it all! MASSIVE and super smooth. The donut on top was fresh and good as well.
Overall I give 2 stars solely based on service. It shouldnât take thirty minutes to be seated at a table that was available from the start and it shouldnât take over an hour to get our food. It was not even busy. Iâd go back and try again but this time...

If you're looking for a great spot to catch a game in Sandusky, Ohio, B-Lux Grill & Bar is definitely worth checking out! With its vibrant atmosphere, itâs a fantastic place to grab a quick bite or enjoy some time at the bar. I was initially drawn in by the stunning food photos displayed around the resort, and Iâm really glad I decided to give it a try!
The food presentation was impressive, and while the flavors were just okay, there were some standout items. I particularly enjoyed the unique, made-from-scratch burgers. The wings were decent as well, but the care taken in their preparation was evident. Overall, not a bad experience on the food front!
What truly set this visit apart was the service. Our server, Robyne, was exceptionalâshe genuinely made us feel like family! Every time she came to our table, she brought a smile and positive energy. Robyne guided us through the menu seamlessly, and she even made the kids feel special by celebrating their birthday with them. That kind of attentive service really enhances the dining experience!
The atmosphere at B-Lux Grill & Bar was also a highlight. The spacious restaurant boasted attractive decor and a lively vibe that complemented the menu perfectly. It was clean, inviting, and perfectly captured the theme of shakes and burgers.
Overall, I had a great experience at B-Lux Grill & Bar! Itâs a memorable place to enjoy some good food and have a fun time. I would definitely...
