Fairgrounds Park — Attraction in Hutchinson

This park is a great place. It is by far the best kept water park in Hutch. BY FAR. The water is on a timer so all you have to do is push the button on the side of the restrooms to start the water. Love the conservation effort. There is also a wide variety of things to do. So if your kid doesn't particularly like getting sprayed in the face, there is stuff for them to do. The whole area is kept pretty clean. The area is also partially fenced in.

The reason I reduced a star is for a couple of reasons. Really young kids tend to go to splash parks. RIGHT next to the splash park is a playground. This playground has a lot of drop offs that could be really dangerous with a toddler (say around 2). I wish they had thought to put in a playground more appropriate for really young kids as well as older.

There are also several fixtures in the splash park that are broken and have been for pretty much the entire summer. They really need to work to fix stuff...

Hello My Name Is Joey Galès. I just wanted to let all the parents know that there were 2 separate older men sitting alone for like 2 hours just watching children play. my mom, son and I left tonight at around 9pm past sunset. We were the last to leave so there was no reason way 2 older men should be sitting out watching children. This is a very fun park and the splash pad is awesome. I have 2 toddlers and they both loved running around the splash pad and then the playground. I love how the playground is close to the splash pad. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for a place to let your kids burn off some of their energy. There's lots of shade, the grass is nice and soft so it makes it a perfect place to go enjoy a picnic and letting the kids cool off on these hot...
