Tautphaus Park — Attraction in Idaho Falls

I am going to start this off the way the park appears its beautiful lots of shade for extended stays for picnics, playgrounds for the kids, and for our precious pets, quiet, No broken beer bottles ( common park problems anywhere) not here! 😁so last 2 days it was perfect...but if you call being attacked, chased, and stalked ( by the same large hornet) for hours that owns a particular pine tree by the dirt lot w/ out house a day in the park well i wanted to call for help. Because i will never come to this park un-armed (Raid)?!! I do know that today im in the same area in the dirt lot and now im sitting in my car with my windows up wishing someone hadnt stolen my wallet out my car at walmart last night because it had my entire SS check i casked at walmart in it. Because i really could use a can of defense!! My 2 cats just want to graze. And now i get to run the ac/ because im being attacked and followed by aggressive hornet's that are trying to sting me for no reason. I cant be the only one that is being attacked. Do something about it!!! Parks n recreation! There is more than trash to dump!! I can see they live in the trees! Must ( bee) a hive!! The tress that circle the dirt lot w/ out house i can see holmes not broadbent. Im furious i have to sit in my car 2 days in a row!! No wonder the baseball field is empty over here when there are hundreds of people here for the...

Idaho falls Zoo/ Tautphaus Zoo: The zoo is a very fun place for a field trip or family outing, I really enjoyed it the view and seeing how the animals interact with each other. You can also pet animals in the petting zoo of course. Many different animals from big cats to birds of all types of types. Along the way you get to learn so much about each animal like; how long otters live or how big a bear can get. Prepaying for it is a lot easier also so you won’t have to wait as long, and be able to get to see animals one on one it is a awesome experience. Price ranges from $10-25. Don’t be shocked if you see a peacock on the loose while you eat, be careful they like human food too.😥 They have a food also sometimes ice cream or, sandwiches, etc. The gift shop has some really cool items such as; t-shirts, toys, peacock feathers. Do not be surprised if you were there for a hour or more. The zoo is always looking for volunteers...

I love Tauphus park. Have been going since my childhood in late.fifties throught 60s and 70s. They have done a few thing which I like and do not like. Making it better and more humane for the animals in the zoo was fabulous. Cutting down that tree which was by the tennis courts was unnecessary as far as i could see. There was enough room to drive Round it unimpaired. The educational building that was constructed snap dab in the middle of the road which went from boulevard to Rolandet could have been placed more wisely. Where was the vote on that and what education does that building house. I am all for education....I have a Ph.D in Chemistry......what purpose does it have? Anyway, I am so happy that the arcade is still privately run and the old rides are there and kept up. I would like to see the old train start up again. Great place for skateboarding. And great hockey...
