This was our first time at U-Pick. We typically go to a neighboring pumpkin patch which we love, but due to better hours of operation we chose to go to U-Pick this year. This is a super cute pumpkin patch with a great selection of pumpkins, even late in the season. My older kids loved the slides! My younger kids love the corn box and train. It would be 5 stars with a few tweaks. First, we arrived early in the morning, around 9:45AM. Hours of operation online state their opening is 9AM. There are numerous entrances and with it being our first time we were confused on the correct one as all the ticket booths were closed. After wandering around for 5 minutes, we found the correct entrance. For pumpkins and entrance for 6 it was over $100. Extremely pricy for what there is to offer. We bought the kids “all access” wrist brands. When we entered the area with activities, everything was closed but the motorized cars, bounce pillows and corn hole. I understand it was cold and frosty, but if you can’t open all attractions people pay for, don’t open at 9 or at least tell customers that all attractions are not open before we purchase wristbands. By 10:30 the slides, corn box, cannon and train opened. My kids were really excited for the cannon, but even with the “all access” pass, you only get one shot. For the price we paid, everything should...
Read moreI used to love taking my nephews here, it’s been tradition. But tonight made me think next year we will try somewhere else. The candy blasters, although the idea is great, took way to long. My nephews were afraid of getting hit in the head and couldn’t stand where it was coming down so we tried to do the other activities, pumpkin blasters etc.. but all of it was shut down for the hour they tossed candy. An hour to toddlers seems like days. We never got to ride the train because there is no structure and the lines were too long with people crowding etc. and then of course it was shut down during the candy toss. The slides aren’t monitored and bigger kids like to surf down them running over younger kids and not waiting their turns. The bounce balloons are also over ran with older kids who have shoes on and are trampling all over the younger kids. We paid $50 for the kids to go down the slide a handful of times. They didn’t even get to shoot the canon or anything. The train is usually their favorite part and I was upset for them that we couldn’t ride it. Next year we will try new Sweden or something. But thank you red barn for the...
Read moreI've taken my kiddos here nearly every year and have always maintained its the best pumpkin patch around...until this year :/ the prices are absolutely ridiculous. To let my four children do the four activities they have here (corn kernel pit, slide, train, and pumpkin cannon) it costs $56...but it doesn't stop there because if you want to go in the same area as your children, you also have to pay $5. Per person. When my husband and I came to do our yearly tradition we were not expecting to spend $70 and not even get any pumpkins. Pumpkins are $30 for 5 so for $100 we couldve had four activities and 5 pumpkins for the 6 of us. And if i dont want to pay the observation fee do i just leave my kids for the day and assume the employees are babysitting? Why would i be charged to sit in the same area as my kids? Ive never been to another place where thats a policy...its absolutely ridiculous and this will unfortunately be the last year we come back. It's a shame this wholesome venture in tribute of a dear friend has turned into such a...
