The biggest day-to-day issue Ave students face is the cafeteria and its’ meal plan, which all students must pay for. And no, diagnosed food allergies aren’t good enough to get off the lacking meal plan. It is time for the leaders of the school to change who prepares the food because Valley food service serves the same food items almost every day. For example, pork is served every single dinner, the only difference between Monday pork and Tuesday pork is the sauce used or in the way it is prepared. Also, steamed veggies are literally served every single meal, like what is Valley doing. And to the parents dropping their kids off, Yes, the food served during orientation is good, but it immediately gets worse once you leave your kid, ask your kid how the food is a month into school hahahahahah. In conclusion, students pay a ton of money for their food, where is the money going?

Interesting town geared specifically to people of the Catholic faith. Street names and stores in the central area have names like Pope Paul Blvd and Mother Teresa Museum. There is an amazing amount of development with large companies like Dell Webb constructing developments all around the central core.

A Catholic university that is actually Catholic, abides by the Magisterium, and which promotes the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. John Paul II, Mother Teresa, and others. Their annual conferences are worth checking out, too.

Beautiful campus and small growing town--its all still in the growth phase the town is building and selling beautiful new homes at a record pace. My daughter attends Ave Maria University and I couldn't feel better about the quality of education provided and the safety of the campus. The education and personal growth of each student is the number one concern at AMU and this has been demonstrated since our first visit to the school. Drawbacks are the campus is 35 minutes from Interstate 75 in Naples. 25 minutes to shopping and restaurants. 30 minutes to Alligator Alley--which is actually great--easy ride to the east coast of Florida. And just to clarify this is a Catholic establishment however many of the students are not Catholic. There are no Catholic...

Had the unfortunate experience of running into a group of students from Ave Maria University at a local ropes course park. They were loud and obnoxious, and went ahead of some of our family members, separating we parents from our ten-year-old son and young daughter, which became a serious problem when our children were later stranded. I’m a Catholic, and these students are not exhibiting anything near Catholic ethics as I know them to be. Let’s hope they are new incoming freshmen on an orientation that will have better morals instilled in them shortly. Perhaps better to train them before releasing them...
