Tahoe East Shore Trail — Attraction in Incline Village-Crystal Bay

Obviously and undoubtedly the most beautiful bikeway and the history of constructing it is truly remarkable. Through the efforts and donation, its now enjoyed by cyclists and pedestrians.

Absolutely stunning views of Lake Tahoe and lots of access to coves and beaches but bikes are not allowed to access down the coves. If bringing your own bike, prepare to bring bike lock and if you wanna swim in one of the beaches along the trail, bring change of clothes.

Parking near the cafe and fills up Pretty fast and expensive. 8 dollars for 45 mins

I gave 3 stars just because its so crowded. Most pedestrians has little to no awareness. Cyclists, of course must be courteous but its a multi-use trail and some pedestrians are just occupying the whole trail without paying attention to...

Absolutely breathtaking trail with stunning views and nature at its finest. My family and I had a fantastic time walking along it… when we weren’t dodging the Tour de France hopefuls zipping by at Mach speed. Seriously, I didn’t realize this was also a race track! One guy zoomed past us, and I swear I saw his life flash before my eyes—couldn’t tell if he was riding a bike or piloting a jet. There was even an elderly man, possibly a retired road warrior, cussing out some kids for ‘being in his way’ as he went full throttle.

Note to self: next time, pack an air horn, maybe even some traffic cones. Otherwise, we loved every minute of the peaceful moments in between...

Loved the hike you can either take the trail that is above the cafe for great views over the lake or there is a paved path that will take you down to the lake. The path to the lake is paved and starts at the first entrance to park. Paved is very easy with some moderate incline. The unpaved path is a moderate hike. It’s a nice cleared path with a decent incline.

Parking is limited I would recommend arriving early.

There are also shuttles if you want to be dropped off by the lake (I saw them didn’t use them). If you want to bring an inflatable paddle board to the lake that’s what I would do.
