We visited June 25, 2023 and two of the main overlook areas were closed for major repairs. We did not go past the closure signs, do so at your own risk. You can still see some of the falls but will miss the main viewing area. Go to nearby Rainbow Falls for a spectacular...

I think Gorge Falls was my favorite on the Black River National Scenic Byway. It's a striking Falls and there are lots of stairs here with several overlooks, look for the one with the "gorge" sign for a view of the falls and down the Gorge. Easy walk from either...
