Potawatomi Falls — Attraction in Ironwood Township

Beautiful falls! Nice, paved, wheel chair accessible trail back to a viewing platform with a nice view if Potawatomi Falls. I was disappointed that the walkways down for closer access to Potawatomi and Gorge Falls were blocked off. I like to get up close for photography, but had to settle for a longish range shot of Potawatomi. I could barely see Gorge Falls from the accessible areas. The water flow for the Falls was good for this...

This is a gorgeous spot but I must warn you that there is a massive staircase with hundreds of steps to get down to the falls & back up to the parking lot. This is not fair the faint of heart, small pets or young children.

The views are spectacular! You can walk right down & touch the water.

There are several deck viewpoints, though a few were closed for construction when we were there is September...

Potawatomi and Gorge falls share an entrance and while they have separate parking areas, it's easy to just walk from one to the other. I liked gorge falls more and the overlook was better and allowed you to see it fully. The trail is pretty flat and only 600 feet to the falls. There is an overlook towards gorge falls that gives you a more "straight on"...
