Architecturally amazing theater from the era of vaudeville and silent movies, having been built in 1928. The ceiling is beautifully painted and the walls have ornate moldings and fixtures. The acoustics are very good in this opulent theater, with plenty of seating. It now offers live theater, musicals, etc.. This is a true treasure for this town.

A historic jewel in the City of Ironwood. Great selection of performances, shows, and films. The building and seating were completely restored years ago and are perfectly maintained. Beautiful historic ceiling murals, and an incredible pipe organ that's been in the theatre since it opened in 1928.

WOW!!! This place is an historic gem. Run mostly by volunteers, the theater is just like going back in time to the era of silent movies. The organ is really a sound machine able to create just about any sound. Highly recommended.

Historic Ironwood Theatre is a gem. Saw the performance of "All things equal: The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsberg" on Thursday evening. Had a balcony seat with excellent view of the stage. Acoustics we're great, heard every word of dialogue. The organ music played before the play began was fantastic. The play and an actor were superlative, and I had a truly memorable...

I grew up in this theater. The acoustics are phenomenal, the seating is old school but comfy, the paintings are just as breathtaking as they were when I first saw them. They also seem to get a lot of talented performers to come through.
