I am writing to complain about the misdelivered refund check, which was said to be sent out from the corporate office on Sep. 5th to 48 Austin, Irvine, CA 92604-2501, but I had moved out on Aug. 20, and there was no way for me to receive the mail with the refund check included.
First of all, I DID fill out and submitted the check-out notice one month prior to my planned move-out date, on July 20, to the leasing office staff at Heritage Point. I had CLEARLY WRITTEN the forwarding address, which would be used to send the deposit refund check to me.
However, when I called Diane at Heritage Point to ask about the refund check, she told me that the corporate office indicated that they sent out the refund check to 48 Austin on Sep. 5th, since there was no record of forwarding address on file for my apartment. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. If I had not submitted the forwarding address prior to my move-out date, there was no way that Heritage Point would just let me go! Also, the corporate office was so IRRESPONSIBLE by simply sending the refund check back to 48 Austin, since clearly I AM NOT LIVING THERE!
Secondly, I found out that something went wrong with my deposit refund check, so I immediately contacted Diane at Heritage Point, and Veronica Beaver at the corporate office on Sep. 12th.
Diane was so nice to help me contact the current resident of 48 Austin to ask if they could return the refund check to the corporate office so that they could mail the check out to my current address. BUT DIANE TOLD ME on Sep. 18th that THE CURRENT RESIDENT NEVER RESPONDED TO HER CALL AND VM. As a result, Diane suggested me to contact Veronica again to have her issue a new check and send it to my current address ASAP.
Veronica was nice too on Sep. 12th, since she said she would re-mail the check to my current address as soon as the mail has been returned to the corporate office, AND, she CONFIRMED my current address with me again over the phone. NEVERTHELESS, I tried to call Veronica on Sep. 18th and Sep. 19th to ask her to issue a new check and de-activate the old check, but VERONICA NEVER RESPONDED TO MY PHONE CALL AND VOICE MAIL. I called Diane again on Sep. 19th and she said she could not do anything with this for now, so I should wait for Veronica to get back to me.
I have sent this message to the customer service email of Arnel, and posting this message to Yelp, GOOGLE and anywhere I can comment on Heritage Point Irvine. Please share my story to let more people hear about how awful a renting experience with Heritage Point, or with Arnel in...
Read morePlease be advised: This is the worst property management company I have ever seen. Our experience: We doubted the severity of the bad reviews. We thought the price was too good to pass up for the location. The tour went well and the amenities seemed great.. THEN, within days of moving in the ROACHES came out. They offer a free service for exterminator named “that guy” that didn’t even make a dent in the problem and he will not spray your apartment unless you uproot your entire life and clear everything out of there. After weeks of doing this with no results, we tried every home remedy we could. The bugs are everywhere. NEXT, the hot tub broke right away, so there went that “perk” for at least the first 6 months. THEN, our apartment began to flood from the sinks in the kitchen and the bathroom. This happened every couple of weeks with no resolve. They will snake the drain, and leave you with the mess when they are done. Our carpets were soaked and smelled horrible. Our cabinets swelled and rotted from the disgusting water from the pipes that was soaked up. EVENTUALLY, after many complaints they replaced the front face only of our vanity, but failed to paint it. Our vanity has been bare plywood for about 6 months now. The gym is always full of young kids playing that shouldn’t be there. One kid likes to cut his friends’ hair on the leg press and leave the mess. THE PARKING IS SO BAD. We got a new car and paid for a new plaque on the app and they never sent it to us. The office called and towed countless cars over night last night, one of them being ours that we paid for parking registration months ago. The tow bill was $500. THEY WILL HARASS YOU. My ESA animal has all her paperwork. After a year of living here they threatened us with pet rent and deposit. They wanted more documentation. Fine. I repeatedly went to my doctor and made appointments specifically to get notes from her as they requested. My dog is licensed, registered, everything! They continue to deny her to this day.
We cannot get out of our lease. They stand behind their corporate backing and are nearly impossible to fight any of this. My quality of life being stuck here for the remainder of my lease is terrible.
Do not move here or to ANY...
Read moreWelcome to Heritage Point's "Luxury" Apartment Homes where roaches roam the carpets, spiders and wasp nests hang around the ceilings, and ample parking that does not exist! The staff is very "friendly" and like to play with words to convince prestigious residents that their apartments are truly luxurious! The door locks are state-of-the-art and are so secure that even the residents themselves will be spending at least 5 minutes just trying to unlock the door! You can open the windows wide to air your new apartment with the fresh smell of marijuana. The washers and dryers are well maintained, and they require credit cards to use. The dryers in particular charge a lot more than the average dryer in a laundromat, and the time to dry might not be enough to dry all of your laundry, so that may mean that you'll have to spend double to ensure dryness.
There are several points of interest around the area. They got barbecue grills scattered throughout the area for convenient barbecuing, a tennis court, and two swimming pools where roaches will sometimes lurk for an evening dip. The fitness room is perhaps the complex's best attraction. It's small, but gives you enough for your exercising needs. Also, not a lot of people use them, so abuse them for all they're worth! Next to the apartment area is a Chinese shopping plaza that is just a few minutes of walking away for your convenient shopping needs. One advantage that the apartment offers is month-to-month leasing so that you can stay for a month or two, then leave when you can quickly find a new place to live. Of course with luxurious benefits like these come at a price. I stayed at a 3-bedroom apartment with my buddies, and because we were only staying for two months, we had to pay $2900 monthly. That's a steal! So if you don't mind being surrounded by bugs, parking outside the apartment area, and waking up to the scent of dank weed every morning, don't hesitate! Become a resident of the luxurious Heritage Point...
