YogaSix needs to seriously reevaluate their business model. As a new studio, they offer enticing promotions to get you through the door, but end up making false promises over the phone to continue billing you. Community PSA: DO NOT give them your cc info until you hear all the terms and ask for it IN WRITING. I was told I could take advantage of their new client one month special and could pre-pay since I would be out of town in July, and that my account would be kept under “frozen” status until my first visit. Sounds super accommodating right? Come August, I hadn’t even stepped into the studio and I was ALREADY BILLED for the next month for $146. What happened to my account being frozen? You would think a quick refund could get issued? WRONG. It’s been over 2 months of me calling the studio with Jenna their GM verbally confirming the refund that never went through, then stating she would send an email confirmation (never came) as I waited for 5-7 business days each time for nothing to process LOL. During that time a fraudulent charge came through that forced me to replace my card (surprised YogaSix didn’t get flagged for that to begin with) and now it’s still an ongoing battle with countless excuses of a new system, new approval process, then finally getting their regional manager involved (no contact info provided upon asking since that is confidential apparently.. red flag). After a week of that “escalation” there’s still crickets coming from YogaSix on how they can resolve the issue they began. I don’t even think their regional manager exists at this point and I’m sure they’re just waiting for me to back down bc the level of negligence is astonishing. My experiences at Corepower, Bikram Yoga, purple yoga etc NEVER had customer service issues this poor. I would choose any of those over this franchise any day. The headache and frustration to have to deal with this studio is not worth it at all & to think I referred two friends here LOL. YogaSix is in the business of stealing your money and not providing any resolution for the trouble. So much for taking classes to relieve stress they cause...
Read moreOn July 7th 2021 the general manager Jenna text messaged me about a $50 unlimited month offer and I agreed to it via text. I came almost everyday of the 30 day month and tried to maximize the offer. I enjoyed the sculpt classes and vinyasa flows, and the teachers were nice. This is unfortunately not a review for the teachers, although I’m sorry because I did enjoy some of the classes.
This is about how Jenna never told me the $50 membership then turned into a reoccurring monthly payment of $146, without even notifying me that I would be enrolled as a full time member. Had I known, maybe I would have attended classes even ONCE during the subsequent three months I was charged before I noticed it on my cc bill.
When I called Jenna to ask her about it she was incredibly unhelpful and actually quite snarky about it, telling me that she signed me up and she was “pretty sure” she told me the policy. She then didn’t offer any way to move forward except to tell me that if I canceled for the current month, I could have 8 classes passes to use (that I paid for because she wouldn’t refund me a single solitary cent for the three months of unlimited classes I didn’t know I was paying for). I feel like she could have offered an option to pay the classes forward or bring a friend, or something to offset the loss but she basically said “sucks to suck” and hung up on me. I contacted her again after checking my interactions with her and when I had the receipts of what she said when signing me up, and she never responded. In the attached text message she never said anything about it converting to a full price monthly membership after the month was over - why else would I go from attending every single day to never coming but paying 3x the price?
So needless to say I do not recommend this studio and it’s super sketchy anti-yoga practices. Yoga should be about being mindful and considerate and kind, and I can’t recommend this studio in good faith that they might take advantage of other people this way.
The studio also...
Read moreCandidly, all the 1-star reviews are justifiable based on my experience with a former manager not honoring the advertised promotion. However, the facility is now under a ✨new management✨, and none of the managers are doing ANY shady practices for pricing for signups.
I want to gatekeep this yoga facility, but it's the best one I've discovered in Irvine and deserves to be shared. 😔✨The instructors are 👩🍳💋👌 and I leave each class feeling stronger and rejuvenated for the day!
Having been a frequent attendee of their classes (+100 classes!), here are my tips for selecting class types:
If you're a beginner, go for Slow Flow classes. My favorite instructors that lead these classes are Kaylin and Kristen.
If you're looking to get energized and refreshed, go for Power and Hot yoga classes. My favorite instructors that lead these classes are Kaylin and Walter.
If you're looking for a challenge and building strength, go for Sculpt & Flow. My favorite instructor that leads this class is Walter.
The classes have a pre-registration system where they're never overflowing and/or overcrowded. The facility itself is very sanitary and the attendees are respectful. Overall, the vibe is great, and would highly recommend...
