This mandir is a part of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, which is a is a socio-spiritual Hindu organization with its roots in the Vedas.Its universal work through a worldwide network of over 3,850 centers has received many national and international awards and affiliation with the United Nations.
It is a great place to learn about vedic hindu culture and about India. The mandir houses the deities and performing the nilkanth abhishek is a spiritual and divine experience. The murtis (sacred images) inside the mandir represent various divinities holy to Hindus. It is a must visit around Hindu festivals such as Diwali( falls around October-November) , Janmashtmi( falls August-September) and Ramnavmi(falls around March-April) where they have cultural programs that reflect the values behind these festivals. During Diwali, the exhibits and videos on Hinduism are meticulously planned. Apart from this they host fun activities for kids during Diwali and other festivals.

Read moreIt’s a nice place to feed the serenity and take time for yourself at the abode of the Narayan the Hindu deity. If you have visited other BAPS temples across United States they have distinguishable architecture unlike the one at this location. This location we didn’t see a food canteen (Prashad) like others. I am not sure if it was closed temporarily due to COVID.
As soon as you enter, there men step to their left and women step to their right to leave their footwear and use separate doorway to enter the temple. There was less crowd here on Saturday so leaves it a bit more peaceful to offer your prayers. You could see the sculptures of lord Rama, goddess Sita, lord Krishna, Radha, narayana and so on. There is a small section to the right that explains the history and story of incarnation of swami narayan.
