The facility was very nice and originally would've recieved 5 stars from me. However when I asked about why there wasn't any steve McNair memorabilia. The lady said they a lot it's just not on display because he was murdered, which is why it should be out on display.🙄 also there was very little in Marcus Dupree & only 1 tiny article on steve McNair both of which were basically tucked away hidden in a closed off section. I feel like peoples personal biases and opinions should not overshadow what these missiapians talents and legacies. I was considering purchasing a lifetime membership but after that talk I was turned off & probably won't return. Which is unfortunate because the facility it very nice

This was my first stop when I got to Jackson, I'm a huge sports fans and like to enjoy sports museums for states who have them, so this one was a no brainer. When you first open the door you are greeted by an older women and gentlemen, both very nice folks. They have you watch about a 10 minute video on Mississippi sports, very nice short film. At first glance, I was amazed how clean and nice the museum was. As I proceeded to all of the memorabilia, I was impressed on the set up and how much stuff they had on display for all of the different athletes. I highly recommend making this one of your stops when visiting Jackson. You won't be disappointed if you're a sports fan.

On a whim, I made the trip up to Jackson to visit the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. Mike Andrews greeted me at the front desk. Let me tell you, this gentleman is a wealth of information about this Hall of Fame. He is very passionate about all of the greats that have had their beginnings in this state. You pay $5, and then the tour starts with a video. In order to be inducted into this hall of fame, you must have been born in this state and gotten your start here. Mike then guided me through the highlights of the museum, it is very well organized. I am not a huge fan of sports, but I love to meet people who are excited about things, and this was a delight.
