When I sat down I was asked if I came in for a haircut and some color and then what color I was going for. The consult lasted 5 MINUTES . My hair was NOT examined and no further questions were asked. I explained that I had a COUPLE thin grays at my roots and that my hair was starting to look a little brassy(from the color wearing off the last glosser I had) - so I just wanted a color GLOSSER to match my own hair and cover the couple grays. My grays are fine and birthmarks, so they DONT require xtra processing time. My stylist didnât understand which color to use, so she went and asked her boss. When he came out to greet me he started by asking â so you want to go a little darker?â, and I REPEATED myself that I did not want to go darker , I wanted a glosser to match my color and I have a couple grays. So he asks her to mix up the dyes, which end up being PERMANENT dye. I was never asked or offered a glosser which would be much more suitable for someone who doesnât want a major change! She started at my roots and once my roots were done she painted my long hair with the dye which took OVER 2 hours just to cover my hair in the dye. I TIMED this-which is WAY too long for permanent color to sit on hair.-(I have been getting my hair done for 10 YEARS the same exact way and they always offer a glosser and paint the roots and thenuse their hands to quickly saturate the rest of the hair and leave on a max of 40 minutes from start to finish). I mentioned my concerns and worries 3 different times while she was doing my hair and there was no response .Just silence .My stylist left to let the dye sit even longer, so I was concerned and asked the boss why itâs taking over two hours and he said because of my grays and he requires all of his dye be left on for 45 minutes.. well I didnât have stubborn grays. I had a couple and they were fine like the rest of my hair. Plus we are going over 2 hours nowâŠAfter our conversation, he called for the stylist to wash out my hair . When we got back to the chair she noticed she hadnât washed all if the dye out so we went back to the sink..she brushed my long hair with a regular brush and NO productAs I am cringing hearing my hair splitting and breaking as sheâs brushing it from top to bottom. My hair was sticky, smelled and brittle from the dye, the boss walks over condescendingly and says ânot too dark , is it?â- Too which Iâm looking at it like YES it is. Itâs NOT what I ASKED FOR and there is DYE left and stained on my hairline .She decided to put a hair mask on and once we washed that out the hair texture was a little better. She cut my hair without asking good questions and at this point i am so anxious. I stood up and my hair was uneven and beyond repair. ALSO my underneath layer is shorter than the top ??My hair is red toned and more brassy than before esp at the ROOTS which were never like this ! My hair is SPLOTCHYzThe roots are BRASSY and red , the middle section of my hair is almost black and the bottom part is a nice brown. (Tye dye)Itâs also DAMAGED and fried which I have spent years getting healthy .Like how ???! How do you mess this up so horrible.I put glossers on at home and within 30 min my hair is beautiful and my 2 grays are gone. &yes MR.CARLOS that is what GLOSSERS do , they can tone out brassiness! -I wasted half of my day just miserable at this place . Myappointment had officially started at 1:00 pm and it was 5:05 when I left !No one cared to ask how I liked/ disliked my hair / results. Anyone I show my hair says the same . Itâs bad.** and just to clarify- I ASKED YOU guys about a Groupon, I never purchased one. ( which should be besides the point) you act as if ppl who purchase Groupon should leave unhappy bc they are cheap?. Then why do you offer it? Anytime price was mentioned I had NO HESITATION PAYING WHATEVER AMOUNT.I am used to paying around 150$ for a cut and glosser at the professional salons I go to. Like I said I have done a better job at home and have been getting this done for years. PLEASE GO SEE A PROFESSIONAL if you are considering getting...

I purchased a Groupon for this location on June 17th and called the same day to make the appointment. First "Buyer Beware" moment: The salon marked the Groupon as redeemed immediately, despite the fact that it hadn't been used yet. When I called, I made an appointment for a facial, massage, and mani-pedi, per the Groupon I'd purchased. I asked if they had availability on July 1st. I was told they did and asked if 1PM worked. It did, so I accepted. The person I talked to -- I can't recall who it was -- got my name and phone number and confirmed my appointment.
On the 1st, I showed up at 1PM only to have Sarah yell at me (this is not an exaggeration, she was literally yelling) that she'd been calling me "for weeks" because they'd decided -- either before or after I made my appointment -- to close early for the holiday weekend. This was the Saturday before Independence Day, which was on a Tuesday. Sarah said she'd left numerous messages for me to this effect, but when she confirmed my phone number, the area code was incorrect (a "2" instead of a "5", so likely an error when it was entered into their system, since those two sound nothing alike and I know my area code).
Apparently, I would needed to have been at the salon by 11AM to get my services done because they'd sent the employees home already and "no one is here to perform your services." I was shocked and upset, but mostly that Sarah was yelling at me like I was somehow to blame for this.
I didn't suggest the time, they did. I didn't write down my phone number incorrectly, they did. I didn't release folks who still had pending appointments, they did.
Sarah asked if I wanted to reschedule and I expressed some hesitation, given that the Groupon voucher had already been marked as 'redeemed' and they had already made mistakes. Sarah acted as though it was completely unreasonable for me to think they might make another one. She insisted they wouldn't make any more mistakes and I pointed out that they probably didn't plan to make the first ones, either. She asked if I wanted to reschedule or just get a refund for my voucher.
I told her that I wouldn't be able to come back for several weeks. I asked if I could check my schedule and call them to reschedule. She said fine and I left. However, I got to my car and realized that, with the number of mistakes they'd already made -- it wasn't just the phone number, it was the scheduling, marking the voucher redeemed -- coupled with the way I'd been treated so far, I really wasn't comfortable coming back at all.
I went back inside and said I thought I'd prefer a refund on my voucher and Sarah said, again, very aggressively, "You need to call Groupon for that. I can't help you." Okay, fine, but the voucher is already marked redeemed. Can you 'unredeem' it so that I can get my refund? Is that going to cause an issue? (Spoiler: it did.)
Sarah started yelling again and said she 'wasn't going to argue with [me] about this anymore" and asked me to leave. I did -- and reached out to Groupon who said that since the voucher had been marked redeemed, they needed confirmation that I hadn't used the services. I had to explain the entire situation -- that Sarah had refused to provide any assistance and had asked me to leave.
Groupon is working on my refund request and I can update if I get it, but right now, I'm out $150+ for services I never received.
Update: Groupon refunded as a store credit for Groupon so I'll still have to spend the money somewhere.
Update 2: Based on the response below, I was not abrupt, did not raise my voice, and tried several times to ask Sarah for her understanding. I did leave twice -- as I noted in my review, so that's, like, not a "gotcha" moment at all. I said clearly that I did not receive my services and that this review was based entirely on the customer service I experienced at the desk -- and customer service at the desk is a valid part of the business and fully subject to being a part of a...
Read moretl;dr I had a terrible experience, I now have stark white roots and med-light blonde hair every where else. Very upset I had my head in a sink for 2.5 hours, she missed several spots with bleach and had to retouch it over and over again, even while i had toner in the rest of my hair. Very uneven.
I came in to the salon just a few days ago to have my hair bleached. I told my stylist debra that my intention was to lighten as much as possible so that i could dye it a soft pastel pink. She said she would be able to do it for 125 and I agreed. I gave her as much information about my hair as i could and I asked her several times if it was possible to do what i was asking and that i wasn't asking for too much. She assured me over and over that she would be able to. She decided that she was going to bleach my hair inside of the sink instead of in a chair and "run it through like shampoo". So I sat with my head back while she put the bleach in my hair. my scalp started getting very hot so she decided to sit me in the chair half way through because she thought my scalp would be able to cool off outside of the sink. So now i'm in the chair and she starts seeing that she's missed spots and starts going back through parts trying to touch up. As far as i could tell she didn't get the bottom half of my hair until the top half was close to being done processing. Everything was done very sloppy. She sat me back down in the shair and started shampooing the bleach out. She then found she had missed more spots along my hairline so rinsed the shampoo and applied bleach again. She was saying she wasn't going to tone my hair because i was going to put the pink in but i knew i need toner for what i wanted and asked her if the pink would come through with all of the yellow and orange tones. she said yes it'd come through and i didnt know what else to say without possibly coming across as rude. Another stylist that was near us, Maria, stepped in and told her she should do the toner, so debra decided to. and she says off handedly that without the toner it would have just been more of a rose gold than pink which isn't what i wanted at all, and she knew that but was okay with sending me home that way. So she gets the toner and starts applying it only to find again that she had missed spots in my hair. So while my hair is toning, she applies more bleach again and then walks away. She was gone maybe 6-8 minutes and comes back and sees that my hair is starting to turn grey from the toner. And now she's getting even more nervous than before and asking other stylists questions and at this point i have had my head in the sink 2-2.5 hours and haven't seen my hair except for the brief time in the chair which was just a big mistake as far as i could tell. So i'm getting very nervous. Everyone is saying that it should be fine and she's blaming my hair and they're saying i should be able to get some pink in there. she shampoos my hair again and puts a towel around my hair and tells me i can sit in the chair. So i go and i see like pure white hair sticking out at the top and i get really excited because it's perfect for what i want. and then i take the towel off and all i see is grey, silver, yellow, gold. much much darker than the roots. and my heart fell. i didn't know what to say. i was fine with the grey and silver, that washes out. but the under part of my hair is much darker than the top which is literally white blonde. it just feels very off and some parts are patchy. I've been wearing it in a bun since because im just really put off by it. I could feel several people in the salon just staring at my hair because it looked so messed up, especially wet. even the girl at the desk. And she knew too. She bumped it down from 125 to 100. Not only that but debra stayed right by my side all the way to the desk and was right there with me when i was asked what i should tip her. Which just felt incredibly awkward because i had just had the...
