Definitely enjoyed my day here. Made it to the metal bridge and needed to call it a day but I’d love to go further next time. 20* degrees out so no one was out. I was shocked most of the rocks that were wet weren’t slick but I proceeded with caution. At the entry I went to the left which takes you to the bottom following the water. Go to the right and basically runs the hill top to camp sites. Hopefully this helps!

My husband and I hiked here while on vacation and it was one of the most stunning while simultaneously relaxing hikes I have ever been on. The sound of the water is like background music while you hike and the views are spectacular. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area - especially in the fall when the trees are in their prime with color.

The hike to this location is rugged, but requires no ropes. It is conveniently on the day loop. This spot in particular offers beautiful scenery, including hemlock trees and mountain laurel, and the prominent waterfall. It comes with soothing white noise, too! In the summer months, the pool at the bottom of the waterfall makes for delightful swimming. Rocks across the Big Fiery Gizzard Creek offer an opportunity to keep dry walking across much of the creek except when the water is exceptionally high, and they make good places to sit and...
