Glenmore Mansion is a beautiful Victorian home that was owned by one of the founders of Jefferson City Tennessee. The original owner also owned most of the land in town, was a part of the railroad, and owned a mill. He never got to enjoy his Mansion house. It was sold to the Jarnigan family and they lived in it for a very long time. Now the house is a museum and features lots of Victorian articles as well as a significant amount of original articles from the house. The tour is very informative and my daughter seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. ...

There seems to be a great deal of confusion about the mansion being open or temporary closed. Glenmore Mansion is OPEN FOR OUR REGULAR TOUR SEASON Which is: May – October, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours start On The Hour, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The season starts with the annual Garden Market. The only times we would be closed within our regular season, is if the mansion has been booked for a private event on a tour day. As we do offer services as a Wedding and Other Event Venue. The only year we were closed, was back in 2020.

See you in...

Lovely morning at the Spring Garden Event. This 1 of my favorite Spring events here in the area. Was pleased to see it looked like it had grown a bit this year. I happily left with a car full of native plants. Enjoyed the craft & yard items. People are always very nice. If you haven't taken a tour of mansion you should. It is very informative if a docent accompanies you. Love the history. Appreciate those trying to keep this bit of history alive. Oh my gosh the strawberries I purchased were...

This was an unexpected treasure. We stopped after seeing a small sign on 11E. The house is just amazing. Our guide, Rob, was so informed of the history of the house, the area and the family that built the house. Our one hour tour lasted an hour and 40 minutes due to no tour being booked the following hour. We had a blast exploring and learning about the history of this place. We HIGHLY recommend the tour that is priced very nominally for the experience.
