Batten the Hatches — Attraction in Jefferson Township

This place is awful with communicating with their customers I would never go back there again!!! Left a seat to my boat to get repaired told me would be done in 4 weeks they would call me. Well it was over 4 weeks no phone call so I called them. When I called no one knew where my seat was and wasn't even sure if it was done. Told me they would call me back. When they called me back they told me it was in the replacement pile. Well no one ever even called me to see if I wanted it replaced! They just did it upon themselves and orders a whole new seat which was 100$ more than the repair!!! They told me it couldn't be repaired which is understandable but where was my phone call? Would never go to this place again and wouldn't even recommend it to anyone else!!! Worst customer service ever. And rude people...

Maria is the only person I would go to for any boat cover/sail work...period. I wanted a mooring cover for my 1989 bowrider. A friend of mine suggested seeing Maria. One of the best decisions I ever made was having her do the work. That was in 2000. That cover lasted until I sold the boat in 2018. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to give Batten the hatches 5 stars. I spoke to a few people at my marina and all pointed me to Maria and her team. They fixed a few issues with my boat cover and interior very fast, for a good price and the best part was the quality was outstanding. My experience tells me this business still takes pride in their work which I am finding less and less...
