Pontotoc Vineyard Picnic Table — Attraction in Johnson City

The Pontotoc Vineyard Picnic Table was a complete treat! We pulled up to this cute little spot, not sure what to expect inside. I'm so glad that we did. We were charmed from the moment we stepped in. The decor, the ambiance, and of course wine, food and our host, Frances made this an incredible stop. We learned about the wine, the history of the vineyard and how the family started the business. We probably could have sat with Frances all day, she welcomed all of us, even our children. She also prepared such a lovely picnic basket for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. Do not sleep on the brownie, it was the BEST brownie I've ever had and she even tucked one into our bag for the road. I will be back for sure.

We stopped in after learning how well the wines did at the Houston Rodeo wine competition. We were so impressed with the building, the wines, snacks - just the entire experience. By far the best wine tasting experience all day. Karen was so personable and helpful. She provided a list of other great wineries to try to another couple there at the same time. Absolutely off the charts experience. The wines were all excellent - very much to my tastes. Would love to go back and buy a bottle and a picnic basket. Can’t recommend enough. This place is incredible. Pontotoc Vineyard has always been my favorite spot in Fredericksburg so I was thrilled to find out their new location was even closer to me! They turned an old gas station into an awesome little spot! Little bit of history, wide covering of beautiful oak trees, firepit, great selection of wines, vintage trucks, airbnb, large patio area, beautiful indoor space, family friendly & the world’s best sangria all in one cozy spot.
