This museum was a delightful surprise! We thought it was just the first floor, but there is a second floor with great exhibits about local Native American history and local people who were involved in various wars. The first floor has a great section on mastodons and fossils in general and is more child oriented. The earthquake simulator is definitely for kids and you build with blocks and then shake it to see what happens. The upstairs sections have a great collection of war memorabilia, a lot of pots and artifacts from the native civilization, and a cute version of old time shops that you can walk through and see old items. Many of the interactive displays don't work or only partially work. Their main attraction is that it's free - but you get what you pay for.
