I have been to quite a lot of Victorian mansions and few were as intact as the Grosvenor House was. If you like learning about an area's local history and if you like architecture, this is a great place for you. The staff really knows their facts and it is evident that they are passionate about the house. It is donation based and I definitely felt like my donation would be used properly to restore the house.

Nice old house from the outside. I have been here twice and they are not open unless you call for an appointment. I gave a call had no reply, but I still enjoyed walking around the outside.

Wonderful! I went today to listen to Christmas carols some by the all volunteer Hillsdale arts corral. The house is decorated from basement to attic for Christmas! The docents are available on every floor and are very knowledgeable about the vast history of this beautiful home. They also served punch, Christmas cookies and a delightful cheese ball and crackers! Hillsdale arts choral St. Paul of my favorite Christmas carols and the gorgeous grand piano is parlor still plays like...

I had a birthday party for my grandson. There were about 15 of us. We were broke up into 3 groups with guides and given great tours. It was a great experience for the kids and educational as well. My grandson said he "loved it". The Grosvenor House was decorated for Christmas. We had an excellent pianist playing while touring. We will...
