Plenty of free street parking spaces. Smooth pavement. ADA compliant, accessible. Safe historic downtown spot. Great photo opportunities. No charge to see the art. Murals are awesome, especially if you're Route66 nostalgic as i am. Very cool at night as well. Downtown Joplin is far more vibrant than I thought, it's very clean, great walkability and retail shopping is eclectic. Close to everything in Joplin proper. Be sure to go to the visitors center where you can meet Terry who's a wealth of local knowledge and get a Route66 passport book to get stamped along the...

We stopped by the Mural Park on drive through Joplin. Very simple area with a nice mural painting on side of building. The area may be smaller than it sounds. This is basically the painting (which is nice) on side of building and a small parking lot area next to that wall with photo opportunities. If you are driving through Joplin...consider stopping there to see. If you are considering driving a long distance just for this site...maybe it will not be the only justification for the drive. It's a 10 min stop...

If you give this Memorial Park a bad review then there's something wrong with you because it's a memorial and it's a park right downtown Joplin there is nothing you can do to give you a bad experience if you show up just to see a Route 66 Memorial I don't know what you're expecting when you see Route 66 Memorial Park to give this...

Beautiful park full of interesting facts and touching quotes memorializing the 2011 Tornado that devastated Joplin, yet also brought out the true humanity in the community and beyond. Kids laughing and playing on the XXL Jungle gym too. Water features were winterized but I'm sure they are beautiful and it's lighted at night.

We really enjoyed the Route 66 Mural Park and spent a fair amount of time there. The murals painted on the wall are well done and informative. There is also a mock up of a Red Chevrolet Corvette moulded into the wall. This small park on the original Mother Road is a great tribute.
