There are many homeless people in this park. They are very friendly. The skate park seems to bring many young people who are very talented. If you were able to bring food or hygiene products on a Saturday there is usually 360 blessings or food not bombs providing a meal for the homeless. Tents, sleeping bags, socks, hygiene products are greatly appreciated. If you have anything extra any day of the week you can bring it by and ask if someone needs it. Read moreFor a city ran park, this is amazing. Free. People have been nice both times that I have gone to skate and I haven't skated since I was a kid so im sure I get in the way at times. People clean up after themselves so it seems like the other riders in the area appreciate the place as well. Only a couple of holes here and there, and it looks like they have tried repairing, so it seems that Joplin continues to upkeep the ramps. As for the rest 9f the park I did not explore much but the skate park section was awesome....
Read moreI love the ramps, I go down on them either laying down or sitting. It's amazing! I also went to Shred Sister's camp and Tom was a great teacher. I can't wait for next year's camp already!! And this one isn't even over yet. ☺️
