Dear Sir, I believe your name is Stan. I have been a patron of Joplin Avenue Coffee Company for years and know Jasmine and Jauncy quite well, they'll attest to that, I even bought a J.AC.C t-shirt, but I digress. I was in one afternoon with a friend who happened to have a couple of hundred dollars for drinks/sundries on his J.A.C.C card and had ordered one of my usuals, a grande skim mocha with whip, also like to replace a meal now and then with a large Dirty Monkey( beside the point). After drinking with my friend in the back room where I like to go two young kids I knew in their twenties came to join me. Although they had not purchased anything and the back area was nearly empty, the kids weren't going to stay with me much longer regardless you had come to speak with them and I did the talking, I was under the impression all was well when your GM, confronted them yelling at them saying that they had been there over an hour without buying anything and if they didn't buy something immediately she would have them arrested for trespass or loitering. I may not have not known all the facts and it wasn't my place to be their social justice warrior, I was simply appalled at the way they were treated. I understand this may or may not have been April or Autumn whomever is your wife is possibly I get the homeless situation downtown can be rather taxing but these kids were quiet and well kempt. I have since changed my rating to a more fair and accurate personal experience...

Stumbled upon the perfect rainy day retreat and couldn’t be happier! This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with friendly service and drinks that truly hit the spot.

I ordered the Maple Leaf—hot, with whip—and it was pure comfort in a cup. The addition of the coffee beans? Perfect. It’s those thoughtful little touches that make all the difference. My partner had the Butter Beer shake, and he loved it.

The space itself is stunning. Charming, cozy vignettes up front, and then—surprise!—a HUGE back room that feels like a community living room. It’s clearly designed for connection, creativity, and conversation.

All in all, an excellent experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu and the space. Highly recommend!

I came here for quite some time, and I love the coffee and the food, but I am not a fan of the service. Me and my mom would come here every Saturday in the morning to get our coffee and we’ve experienced really rude service from a certain worker in the morning. If our drinks are messed up we tend to ask for it to be remade or if we messed up ordering it we say we can pay for it again. When we ask for our drinks to be remade she will give us really bad attitude and make us feel bad for even asking. My mom stopped coming here in the morning all together because of this worker. she caught her talking about my mom in a negative way and giving her dirty looks. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but the way she is treating customers is not ok. I’ve had many more incidents with her. I do hope it...
