Social BTB — Restaurant in Joplin

Tried it out for lunch due to high recommendations from a regular and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I ordered the cheeseburger with mayo, mustard, lettuce, ketchup, and grilled onions and a side of onion strings. Lots of butter is used in their dishes and personally I love that! My burger was cooked medium well and flavorful. The onion strings were very good and juicy! Friend of mine ordered the chicken tenders with the garlic parmesan dip and gave me a sample. I thoroughly enjoyed the sample and will bring my wife back to try that out. There is ample seating and a separate sports room. Televisions are in multiple places and can be viewed from just about every seat in the house. Only issue I had was with my server. I stated this was our first time here and he never seized at that opportunity to give me a rundown on what Social BTB was about. Yes I understand the menu is fairly simple, but I had to find out about to boom boom sauce from another reviewer, he never stated what his personal favorite was. I am a regular customer for over a year now. I take my clients and business associates here. I have ignored the frequent minor mistakes that some restaurants make. in addition, of course, some of the servers here are about as good as they come. However, this will be my last visit after a string of or experiences. This time I had to walk up from my table to order every time I needed something while the bartender in manager were chatting with one customer at the bar. There are only two people in the entire restaurant. The manager brought me my food and I asked for some ketchup. He said the ketchup is over there. I was clearly in the middle of something, working, and ordering a full meal. Every time prior to this the servers are very polite and kind. They always bring you everything that you need. I have never been a fan of the food but the atmosphere is excellent and the service is decent. I am remiss to say that this is all I can take. When the manager chooses to chat with the bartender and the one other person in the restaurant instead of bringing you what you need I can't look passed it. I have been a business owner for over 20 years and I just can't imagine being treated like I was just treated. Once again, I would never judge an establishment based on one or two experiences. For a place with burger in the name I personally expect an exceptional burger, you know better than a drive thru burger. Well here you get the same preformed frozen patty as fast food, very thin and small, hidden underneath a fancy bun. Nothing special about it. The price was WAY too high for a burger that was basically an afterthought with a fancy bun..and fries do not come with it. I would have NEVER even eaten here had I known the burgers were not hand pattied. The fries were good which warrants a star. They have a corn hole game here in which a couple of kids were playing and they were extremely loud and rowdy. Their parents just let them be obnoxious because they were in a party room type area so the kids weren't bothering them. I raised 2 kids so I know kids can be rambunctious but this was beyond my tolerance level. It was so loud and not relaxing at all. More like a Chucky Cheese than a semi sophisticated burger joint. I liked that the seating was not crowded together but the noise level was so bad I didn't give a star for that. Needless to say we will not be going back.
