There were a handful of kids when I went, ranging from crawling to ~4y.o and everyone was having a great time. We loved the water and watching the stream flow downhill. There is a nice large sandpit with toys and things to climb on throughout. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I liked that there were people there greeting us and relaying rules & expectations. They made it more comfortable and we felt safe. We will be going back and telling our friends about it!

Young infants fording over streams, climbing on rocks, relaxing in lush grass outside of the bearing down sun and making skyscrapers out of sand….and all in the middle of the city. Yes, there is a Kalamazoo…and yes you should check out the gateway rest and relaxation while your kids toil in the hot summer sun.

This was my first visit. I was blown away. From the child-size nature trail complete with native plantings, running water to sandboxes and places to play, it was awesome. So were the two young men who greeted me as I came i judge. This was not my last visit.

A nice little area in the middle of downtown to allow for kids to experience nature play. Employees are there to make sure the bathroom stays clean and the area stays nice. My kids enjoyed our visit.

My granddaughter loved this park in downtown Kalamazoo. There is only one bathroom, but this area is very clean, supervised, and well-maintained.

Found this place on accident! My son and I had a lot of fun here earlier today. Great place to check out in Kalamazoo, Michigan!
