First concert in the park this summer! Some normalcy has returned. It was delightful to sit outside, little breeze, Latin Rock band. Beautiful surroundings. What's not to love? 2023 opening concert by the Kalamazoo concert band. Diverse selections with vocalist Meghan Dooley for a few numbers. Beautiful afternoon with a delightful breeze. Very enjoyable hour of music. 2024 season began today. Beautiful 75 degree day with abundant sunshine. The KCB was wonderful with a varried selection of concert band music. There were a series of selections played by sections of the band to feature particular players. Fun afternoon.

I never been to this park. I actually live in Grand Rapids and I was told Kalamazoo has lights in the park this time of year, so I wanted to check it out. It was amazing. Usually here in Grand Rapids we have to pay for the light shows but here it's open to the public. A lot of people were taking pictures. My kids were very excited to see all the decorations. I'm not 100% sure if they do this every year but if they do would definitely be our new tradition.

Love the holiday lights they put up every year in December. I always try to find time to go visit and enjoy the scenery with the lights.
