I honestly haven’t had a bad experience yet with this little airport and that’s saying something. Very convenient airport because I would rather drive 45 minutes to this airport instead of a 2 hour drive to Detroit’s airport. Especially, if I have to pick up family members. I’ve flown out and flown in and everything is always smooth. I’m always checked-in and on my way to TSA in less than 5 minutes and through TSA in less than 10 minutes. They board the flight on time and the little cafe upstairs offers anything you would need for a quick breakfast/lunch. Leaving my car in long term parking was smooth sailing, even during winter. Honestly, a nice, clean and convenient airport.

Also for women: They offer free sanitary pads and tampons in the restrooms. I absolutely LOVE that. It should be like that everywhere, but it’s not like that everywhere, so thank you...

Would've given this airport a better rating if it weren't for their TSA. If you're in a wheelchair or carrying a portable oxygen unit they WILL most definitely take you into a room to do a total body search. During the 3rd search, I had tears rolling down my cheeks as I was totally humiliated. I was told by the officer that was searching me that if I said anything else that I would know what a real strip search felt like because I would be going to jail to be searched. She was a total bit_h. And afterwards, of course no one could tell me what caused the search. Later I was told by an airport employee who saw what happened, that this kind of search almost always happens to the people in wheelchairs and such. I've traveled on many airlines and been through dozens of airports over the past 40 years and have never been...

The check in process is seamless and the people are very helpful and nice, never anyone in line.

When you get to TSA its a whole different story. Regardless if you are TSA approved you and your bags will get searched and even with a handful of people in line it could take you a hour. Be prepared to be fully checked and your bags riffled through. I've flown through many times and after this last time I felt compelled to share as I watched multiple people miss their flights due to TSA. It appears they have a bit of a power complex with the position.

Once through the airport is a tiny regional airport with two bathrooms and a small food shop. Which stinks a bit since you have to go through earlier due to TSA.

Although you could sneeze and miss the airport don't wait to go...

Small but they work with what they got. This place has more of a museum feel to it. They’ve decorated the place with a few historical/ancient looking planes and artistic status, appropriate for all ages. There is a coffee station you can access for a buck or so before going to the gates. Some eatery’s at the gates but wasn’t open when I came in. If your worried about dumping your water, they have a water fountain at the gates before boarding. 👌

I always come through kalamazoo and have a good experience. This time there was an issue with rental cars and them being rented out online but they dont have the resources on site. I had to post a picture of a driver who helped a lot of us last night, Dave, who went out of his way to make sure we were all safe and taken care of. If you need a ride, reach out to the best! Thanks Dave!
