We are not typically big NFL followers, but we brought our grandson who is, to his first official game...and we loved it! The energy was wonderful and quite tangible! Some tips for those who it applies to: *There are lots and lots of people. If you have severe social anxiety, getting to your seat about an hour to an hour and half early helps eliminate a lot of the actual interaction with others. *It is very loud, and there are a lot of stimulating sights all around. If this is a problem, noise canceling headphones are obviously an advisable idea. If too much visual stimulation is problematic, this honestly might not be a great idea, at least for a football game (but honestly, probably most all events). Taking breaks and going inward to a more private and calm area might help, though. *If you happen to have any reason to be concerned about climbing up and down a high row of very steep steps, consider looking at seats below the top section of seats. They are sort of divided between 3 main levels (containing many rows each), the lower level, box level, and upper level. The lower level had far less of an incline and was much easier to navigate up and down. I would think the same could be said for seats in the box level, as well. (Albeit, you will definitely pay for being on the more optimal levels, lol) *The higher seats in each section on the home side are shaded from the start (all seats on the home side will end up in shade, eventually, though. The guest side was in full sun the entire time). If you are attending on a hot day, you might end up pretty happy you chose seats towards the top of whatever section you decide on, lol. (With the exception of the upper level.. you will want to be towards the top of that section too, but in the middle under the commentator boxes in order to get shade from the start on that level.) *THERE IS NO REENTRY ONCE IN, so make sure you have everything you need before you enter! *There are no smoking/vaping areas inside the stadium, so just be ready for that. *If you are not wanting to spend quite a bit on concessions (think similar to airport prices), eat beforehand..there aren't really any inexpensive choices. Or at least be prepared. I know money is tight for a lot of us. That said, the concessions were very good! *We didn't see any concessions that accepted cash, so if you typically pay for things in cash, be prepared for that as well. *Certain events (the game we attended, for example), have a "clear bag" policy.. so if you need to bring a bag in, it's probably a smart idea to double check with the venue about the bag policies concerning the specific event you are attending, before showing up. *And finally, if you have a tendency to get lost in massive parking areas like me, take a quick picture of the section you are parked in before walking up to the stadium. Then if you forget or get lost, you know what section you are looking for. It wasn't hard for me to get mixed up at all, when funneling out with the masses into the enormous amount of parking areas. I actually did have to ask a security guard how to get to the section I needed (and would have otherwise forgotten by then, had it not been for my pic) ..and yep, I had been headed in the opposite direction. It can...

Read moreWho doesn't love Arrow-freaking-head Stadium?! I have always loved coming here for Chiefs games and the most recent Wild Card matchup with the Miami Dolphins was no different! The stadium is beautiful and in my opinion continuously gets updates, even if minor.
Parking is about the same as it always has been, with there being a few ways into the stadium but you're ultimately in a super long line with everyone else - obviously expected. It is nice, the employees at the booth can now scan your mobile parking pass without them needing to even open their window/door. Once you hit the gates, it is kind of follow the crowd on where to park. I think this process could be better but thankfully the fans pretty much know what to do without incident.
The stadium has numerous entrances, and the signage for sections is pretty decent. The updated concessions are much better than the old days but the extremely outrageous prices have only gotten more expensive. Some things are still prices fairly but for the most part, the upcharge is still too much for me to want to enjoy some of the offerings.
The men's restroom was actually one of the best places during the cold Miami game and was the closest place we could walk to in order to warm up.
The only real thing issue we had was when we were in the parking lot leaving the game. If you go from Lot D to Lot L, the only way to do this is walking from a set of stairs through a narrow tunnel - you can hop the fence and walk down a big hill but there are dozens of signs telling you not to do this. It took us 15 minutes to move from about 10ft away from the top of the steps to the top of the steps. There were so many people gathered here and it was so unorganized. For the most part, we just stood shoulder to shoulder and inched our way forward to the steps. Had there been an emergency or anything, this would have been extremely, extremely unsafe. I think this is something that could be fixed relatively easy in the off-season.
Overall, this is such an amazing stadium and it is so fun getting to come here for not just Chiefs games either. But if it ends up staying where it is, I do think they could improve some...
